Lot's of destruction tho, real DC fans are not gonna be happy about this especially with an experienced Superman, right?

Right...? Or this does not apply here?

i don't know about anyone else but this looks VERY comic book-y... Like the comics and the toons.

I have no complaints either way ... Unlike the Snyder haters ... I loved Man of Steel and I'm looking forward to this new Superman and DCU

Beat me to it! This trailer looks so much better than the first one!

The first teaser was amazing IMHO, but so was this. Only thing I don't like is Clark shouting that loud at Lois, I know it's not meant to be threatening to her, but I would have toned it down a bit. Other than that, his portrayal seems spot on.

Also, all bald Lex Luthor, and no fucking wig to be seen. About time. Also hoping that's Lex finally using his battlesuit.

Only a little bit of Green Lantern ring in action, but looks dope. Also, a better look at Metamorpho, he looks great.

Looks pretty good. Definitely has some much-needed character to it compared to the usual super slop, thanks to Gunn. Feels more like a 2000s era Superman comic. But a lot of dodgy CG in there.

The trailers for Man of Steel, particularly the 3rd trailer, is the the greatest trailer to a Superhero Film ever made. Even to this day that trailer gives me goosebumps. But that movie was so fucking mid.

From a visual standpoint does this look as good as Man of Steel? No. But at this point the most important thing to me is that does it look fun, and does it seem to understand the Superman character. So far it looks like it does. It's a really good trailer, it's got some interesting things going on, let's see what happens.

The trailer lost me when they started talking about Superman entering a country illegally, asking if he consulted the President, and then we see him in handcuffs.

I want a fun popcorn flick about Superman, not a moral discussion.

Yeah, the final trailer of Man of Steel was epic. I found the movie great, solid cast, incredible action, great score, but the writing didn't develop Clark/Superman enough, especially not helped by the jumping around from his childhood to adult life back and forth in the first half of the film (Batman Begins made that technique work by having a much better script and pacing) and other details that just felt off for a Superman movie.

I don't even mind him killing Zod, the reasoning (saving a family who would have died otherwise) was far better than the one time he killed in the comics which are practically an execution (IIRC, Superman reasoned the three depowered Kryptonians could get their powers back potentially, and he couldn't justify Earth being at risk like that) though thankfully he never killed again after that. From what I remember hearing, even the writer of that comic thought the movie handled that moment better.

Batman v Superman was where it went too far, just a miseryfest for Superman the whole movie, IIRC he smiles ONCE in the whole film, that overly dark tone that wouldn't end just isn't Superman. That's not on Cavill, of course, he worked with what he was given.

Looks good.
If they can just let this be a fun standalone movie and don't do the MCU thing where they spend half the movie teasing your the next product it should be fun

I think it looks pleasantly OKAY, I love superman as a character but more about his supreme power so I hope to see some of that.

Hard to judge. I'll probably check it out because it's Gunn's first film at the DC helm.

Second film, he directed The Suicide Squad in 2021. Unless you meant first film with him as one of the heads of the actual studio (as he became co-chairman and co-CEO of DC Studios in 2022).

This is me. That trailer was well put together, could be good, and the actor playing Superman seems pretty believable. I'll see it, not in theaters, but eventually, and I have to say I'm a little impressed.

I know nothing about the lantern character in this, but people seem to like that guy. I guess they will have the story of this movie and weave in some big bad in order to form a justice team in the future.

Guy Gardener, and they're the Justice League International led by Maxwell Lord, not the main Justice League which presumably doesn't exist yet. I think in the film they're already a part of the JLI from the start given they wear the team uniform in all the shots of them so far. I don't think Superman will join the JLI specifically but they'll likely work together to save the day regardless, though Superman will probably fight the final fight by himself.

The Peacemaker Season 2 trailer shows them as well (along with the first footage of Maxwell Lord, who will be played by Sean Gunn who is James Gunn's brother).

Clark has character. I like it.

Doesnt seem like he will be only smiling throughout the movie.

It will be funny to see if there will be similarities with Man of Steel that will be ignored 'cause "now we dont have Snider, so its better". The "Superman trial" story beat looks a lot like BvS.

And the CGI looks bad sometimes

I'm not a fan of Krypto, but besides that it looks pretty decent.

Looking forward to seeing it on IMAX.

She was a reporter first and a girlfriend second. Clearly grilling him, like she could have journalistic integrity with some one she is romantically involved with. It is all pretense on her part, grandstanding. He was making her career as a favor as her boyfriend.

But, what questions do you want her to ask, what's your favourite colour? What colour underwear am I wearing? She's asking questions people obviously would want answers to considering the questions she is asking. I just see it like a defence lawyer grilling his witness before hitting the stand. Also, couldn't this be before their relationship blossoms?

I think that is what he wants a puff piece. And that is what someone you are dating should do. Not "did you consult the president" You have no journalistic integrity if you are dating.
