Earlier seasons are on sale for $25 for HD versions on iTunes right now. Tempted to grab season 6, since it is the only one I don't have ripped to portable format. I have season 1-5 on DVD and ripped them using Handbrake, and then bought seasons 7-10 on iTunes. Season 6 is the only one I have on blu ray. While the picture and sound are amazing, it is nice having a tv show on digital since it is easier to jump to episodes I want.

Pretty good episode. Season 11 is on a roll so far.
Like I said above, Rowena really shined this episode. I feel like she is a lot better on her own and she had a lot of great/funny moments.
Dean calling Sam out on the whole secrets bullshit was great too. That entire section of season 10 with Sam going behind his back was incredibly dumb. Glad to see it brought up by the characters directly.
That ending tho... Crowley about to bite off more than he can chew. (why you no answer Dean's calls ;-

Great episode. Also loved Sam getting called out. Dean sorta considers Crowley a friend still, you can tell.
And I don't think Dean refused healing because he unleashed the Darkness. I think it was penance for almost killing Cas when he had the mark. The looks and the 'I had it coming.' and all.
Though Cas is now three for one in Cas VS Dean so I don't think he really had it coming lol.
Oh and I was DEAD during the scene with "Aziraphale and Not!Crowley" because DAMN GUYS WE ALREADY KNOW YOU READ GOOD OMENS THANKS. But amazing scene none the less
That angel is now Aziraphale until proven otherwise, damn it.

O yeah Ii forgot about that. I always see Cas kicking ass, so I forgot about what Dean did. Makes more sense. I think I blocked that episode out because of how sad it made me feel. But it's coming back to me now

The second I saw that I thought, "At some point Crowley is going to realize he fucked up, is gonna call Dean back, they're gonna march over to kill the Darkness and she won't be there because these two morons will have taken matters into their own hands and she gets away as a result."

Agreed. It was actually a very nice breather. It's easy to forget that even minions have thoughts and feelings to. It also accentuated the fact that both Heaven and Hell really have no idea how to handle this Darkness situation.

Could be. IGN gave the episode an 8.4 with the only negative being Cas getting off too easy. lol

I think that's almost everyone's favourite lol. It allowed us to see a deeper side of the foot soldiers and finally, another Angel that isn't a sanctimonious, zealot, douchebag.
Remembering the episode made the scene where Cas was on the floor and said "help me" hit me harder now, since that's where Dean left him after stabbing the Angle Blade into a book :'(. I'd say all the Stein kills, except for the kid were deserved. We don't know how that kid would have turned out after all the Steins were gone. He seemed innocent enough not to became evil unless he was still locked in that family.
It should have been Sam, not Cas.

It should have. But the brothers have beat up each other quite a few times. I feel like this was a lot more powerful in showing the effects of the mark and how much it effected Dean. Sam's probably up next since he still likes to keep secrets and screw shit up because of it.

I'm more surprised he's been kept around as long as he has. I know a lot of people don't like Metatron but I liked him as the unconventional villain.

Yeah, he's a fun character and an interesting take on an Archangel compared to what generally has been douchebags archangels we've seen in the past
He's not an Arch Angel though, he's just God's scribe. If he was an Arch Angel he could have taken over heaven without the Angel tablet.

Unless they are changing it up, Metatron is an Archangel in Judaism ._. unless they specifically mention he isn't an archangel in the show, I believe a Scribe can be an archangel at the same time, it's not a different class of angel
They just say he's an angel in the show. If he were an Arch Angel he'd have been a lot stronger. Like atomizing Cas with the snap of his fingers strong.
Michael, Lucifer, Raphael, Gabriel. They are the only ones

Honestly, my guess was that Uriel was originally intended to be something different from a regular angel, since they called him a "specialist," and he was the only one who knew how to kill other angels at the time. It was either that, or all the angels were supposed to be just regular ones--some more powerful than others--I think.
There's really supposed to be 8 arch angels in the lore, but they probably figured that was too many and it would have made Lucifer less of a threat

I dunno, maybe the only thing archangels can do is go nuclear.

Yeah, it definitely. He may not ne an archangel in Supernatural lore, but hes mich stronger than your average angel since he can rewrite the tablets.
