You can't do a lot of really incredibly simple and obvious things. Using IMGUR is a travesty.

Glad to know it wasn't just me having issues with that. Tried using the desktop version and of IE and it just wouldn't take.
But if there's one thing I am very happy with about the Surface - 720p flash videos play great. I was able to watch some Twitch streams in HD last night without issue.
I was talking about the iPad. I can't get a surface til December.

Isnt that fixed in iOS 6? I swear I remember seeing Safari being able to do that. I can't verify it because I'm still running iOS 5 on my iPad.
You 'can' if you are willing to spend your own money. I couldn't wait (and I also knew we are going to get more than one anyway) so I 'bought' one.

Okay, good, was a little confused and worried about using imgur with Surface there for a second, haha.
Our Tech Support team regularly gets calls from people, asking "Why can't I upload these photos/docs to your website?" when using the iPad.
it works fine in Windows 8 Metro IE, weird that it doesn't work on RT.Whoops, lol
Don't expect to use imgur on the Surface (unless they fix it...)

I'm trying to play a fb game that runs flash. Days need to upgrade my flash.... ughhhh I can't. Any ideas on what to do. Game is songpop if that help.....

That def works if you want to run certain sites in flash, but I haven't been able to use it to run certain FB games. Too bad. But it's only a matter of time.

But yep, iPad's can upload photos from photo albums as of iOS6. Still really limited compared to Windows, though.

I rest my case. One of my workaround is just to click the image and copy the URL from the address bar, because I absolutely cannot select any generated links in safari.
How good is the remote desktop app though? I know that the free version of LogMeIn, the Pro version being what Microsoft themselves used to remote desktop into my brother's pc to fix an issue with Office, is quite slow when rendering changes and remote media watching is almost non existent due to either choppy frame-rate or really messed-up colors.
That's because Imgur is using flash to "copy" the links, and they're not plain text. So yeah, the iPad not supporting flash is the shortcoming, but Imgur shouldn't really be using flash for something like that anyways (IMO).
However, I believe from accounts in this thread, people couldn't get Imgur to work at all on a Surface, so...
Edit: they are sort of plain text links, but a script or something is affecting them.

Since MS axed the Courier, just give me an app that emulates it and I will buy a God damn Surface immediately.
I believe the Surface Pro has support for a pen and handwriting-into-text?

There's an (internal MS?) team working on a product that does just that but the name escapes me. It seems to almost be a OneNote competitor. I'll update if I can remember :-/

Yes, I meant more the overall Courier concept.
There's clearly bits and pieces all over the OS and OneNote MX, specifically. I would just like an app that unifies all of that in one place. Complete with the infinite journal concept and Courier UX.
Right now, I'm running W8 Pro on a Samsung Slate 7 which has an active digitizer, OneNote is a dream on it, for the most part. Still needs a little work but for the most part, it's brilliant.
Yuck.

So no porn site support on surface. What are they stupid or something?! Thought at least the desktop ie would support flash otherwise what's the point of it?
Giant Bomb has an app. I'm not too familiar with Crunchyroll, but I went there and watched part of a Bleach episode in full screen with no issues in IE10.

Yep, I've used it with success. I wanted ShowtimeAnytime, but that site requires you to install an add-on and I don't think can happen, nor did I even want to try it.
We'll probably get this with the next Xbox. A common (or similar) dev platform for Xbox Next, Windows, and Windows Phone app stores.
Nothing about Xbox Next is official yet, all rumors.

yep that will be exactly what happens most likely. There will be a shit ton of xbla type games then since that is a massive audience. I also have a feeling they will release a small xbox media box running on arm that can play media and those xbla games.

Might be hard to tell but sometimes it looks like it's refreshing the whole page and other times it stays grayed out until it loads before you can start navigating again
Wow I can't stand that on iOS, unfortunate to see it happens on Windows too.
What's weird about it is that it doesn't happen if you hit back on the browser. It only happens when you use touch to go back.
I went to the popup store at my mall today and got hands on with Surface. It was very impressive. Longest application loading time was with OneNote when I was messing with it but if the developer support gets behind this then I could see getting a Surface RT instead of replacing my OG iPad with a new one sometime next year.
Coworker told me a lot of people are taking a pass on Surface because it doesn't support Cisco Anyconnect vpn that a lot of companies including mine uses. That's unfortunate since this and remote desktop was justification of not grabbing a full win8 machine.
Pretty sure someone just needs to make an app for it. But that's a big "just".
