Previews are always misleading. If the preview makes you think someone is going to medically evacuated, it means they'll stay in (see Boston Rob in Heroes vs Villains). The safe thing about the previews is that whatever is in there is always going to be the opposite of the actual episode.

That's true. I just can't imagine who else it would be.

People consider the previews spoilers? I guess I'll edit my post.

I know it's not likely, but I hope Abi apologizes to RC at the reunion. I know there's more they don't show behind the scenes, but RC seemed to have wanted to go all the way with her. Abi is absolutely nuts... can't stand her or the guy she's always with.

Also glad Russell is gone! He's alright when he's just joking around, but his competitive side is repulsive. Hoping for a shakeup next week... would hate to see them leave the tribe with just one member.

No. Previews aren't a spoiler but saying it's Jeff is. You can suggest it's Jeff but instead you flat out said Jeff isn't going far because of next week's preview. The preview didn't show who it was...so saying Jeff makes it seems you know something we don't or a spoiler.

If they lose they'd just vote for each other, unless somebody finds the idol. I think they have to to have a merge, or shuffle everybody for 2 new tribes.

If they don't Ulong them, when they get to the next challenge Jeff will probably get them to reach into a bag, one will pull out a yellow rock, one will pull out a red rock, bam! Tribes are even at 7-7. Sucks for Denise and Malcolm to be split up, but they could luck out and be an extra vote for a sub alliance wanting to get rid of somebody.

Ah, I see. I'm just as in the dark as everyone else. It was just my guess. I'll try to be more careful from now on.

It's alright. You're probably right. The way you worded it though in response to the other guys hopes of Jeff making it far made it seem like you knew something we didn't.

That would be the best scenario. The 2 losers don't even deserve the chance of getting reshuffled tribes and potentially being on the same team meanwhile other people's core alliances being broken in the process. 7 vs. 7 is good.

Had to watch this episode late since I went out tonight. That loss was heartbreaking. I'm really rooting for Malcolm and Denise now, I hope they manage to jump back from this and don't just get obliterated because the two of them are more entertaining than most of the other two tribes (Penner not included).

I'll be straight up: Pete's surprising me. I thought he was going to be another typical actor wannabe/model type guy that looked good and was boring, but he's been more entertaining and getting more screen time than Skupin which is really surprising. Great stuff.

Last time they had 3 tribes (Season 8, All-Stars) they had a reward challenge where the first two tribes to finish stayed together and the losing tribe disbanded into the other two. They probably won't do that this time, but it'd be kind of hilarious to see Matsing win that one if they did.

Depressing to see them lose again, which in turn made this a really boring episode (and it was obvious who was going home). At least things will get more interesting now with Matsing not having much more to lose.

Can't believe Matsing lost again. Felt like they had a good 3 player team there. And as much of a clown Russell was, he was fucking entertaining.

Malcolm and Denise could do well so long as they stay together. Both tribes have at least one or two people that could use two swing votes.

If Matsing isn't Ulong'd, Malcolm and Denise should be going anywhere, since both other tribes are split and they would be extremely valuable swing votes.

I really hope this happens, could work in their favor definitely. Denise going to the red tribe would be her best bet as the girls would definitely pull her into their alliance. Yellow is a bit of a toss up since they're so dysfunctional already.

I really hope it's a complete tribe switch over just the two of them going to each tribe. I could easily see the tribe just dying though. It happened in Palau but then again, that was only two tribes.

Did Skupin even have a confessional this week? Guy has completely fallen off the map in terms of camera time. I think we heard more from Carter and Artis in last night's episode.

Nope. I'm pretty sure of all the times we've had a few returning players with the newbies, Skupin has had the least confessionals. Which is surprising because normally they drown us in returning male veteran confessionals. I'm betting he'll jump to the front now that Russell's out.

Once the purple team lost, the episode became boring. And fast. We all knew what was going to happen.

It really sucks not having the blonde around to look at.

That guy Peter or whatever pulled a brilliant move by sticking the clue in RC's pocket. Everything just blew up. That was genius.

Russell's childhood story was interesting...but yeah it was predictable outcome.

For a guy built like a brick shithouse, he has to have been one of the most physically weak male contestants ive ever seen on the show at the challenges. I mean, i seriously thought this guy was in danger of having a heart attack every week. Does he do absolutely NO cardio and only hits the weights?

so jeff gets booted out next ep with a bad knee? Ah well, he has millions of dollars anyhow.

LOL at ep 1 boat injury.

russell's big moan fest at immunity challenge. "blah blah, lord". Um, maybe its the lords plan for you to leave?

Looked like a red herring to me, they film Jeff's knee while every other survivor at camp is attending to somebody else.

I completely agree, dude was all talk.

I thought the exact same thing. He seemed to have the stamina of a first week biggest loser contestant.

The way Probst talks in the clip too makes it sound like someone (could be Jeff but could be anyone, Skupin even) gets injured but it's not a "we have to evac you" injury, ie: Probst asks the player if they want to leave on their own volition or tough it out. Possibly somebody wrecks their ankle but it's not deemed life-threatening.

What Happened to tribes not being aloud to sit the same people in back to back challenges? Matsing would have been top 2 if the other tribes had to use the women they sat out last challenge.

Even though this season has got off to a bad start there are still lots of people that seem to be able to strategize so I still have faith for good episodes ahead.

Only applies to challenges in the same episode cycle.

I was just thinking the same thing. Don't they usually make tribes match genders of the competing members of the smallest tribe in challenges? Kind of seems like they're setting Matsing up to fail. Such a shame because I really like Denise. Besides her, I'm not really sure who else I'm rooting for... I guess Skupin or Dana. Maybe one of the other players who haven't seen much screen time yet.

Skupin has been mutilating himself every episode. lol, I wouldn't be shocked if he somehow injures himself badly.

Jeff seems to be doing just fine in competitions. He's even had the opportunity to sit if he wanted. Either he's hiding it real well, or the knee isn't really a problem.

Only if the challenge specifically requires it, normally because they need matching MM/FF or MF pairs to make it work.

The preview is clearly indicating the injury happens to a person on Kalabaw (red). The misdirection is that we expect it to be an issue with Jeff's knee when it'll probably be a freak injury to another member of that tribe that may shift the balance of power since the current alliances are based on gender.

While the show has been highlighting Skupin's injuries, I wonder how much of these cuts and stuff are out of the ordinary for a typical person on the show. People get small injuries all the time but the show doesn't highlight them unless they affect the way a vote goes or if it's entertaining.

And yeah, production allowing the other tribes to sit out their weakest players every challenge has been the biggest factor in Matsing's losing streak. I'm guessing they want to get to two tribes so it's easier to follow two tribes instead of three. It took 4 episodes for the show to talk about what the alliances on the red tribe are and Skupin has been almost invisible since episode 1, which is really odd for a returning player.

That only applies when there's a reward and immunity challenge, I believe. Since we've gotten only immunity challenges this season, they can sit out whoever they want to.

Hopefully we start getting reward challenges again soon.

I think they've been highlighting Skupin's injuries for laughs, pretty sure everyone out there gets minor scratches all the time. The one cut in the bottom of his foot is nasty, though. That looked like something that would require stitches.

WHUT

Well they spoiled the injury situation on the Survivor commercial during Sunday football.

Obvious spoilers if you haven't seen the commercial:
It's cosmetologist Dana. And yeah, they make her make the decision to stay or go.

right now i'm pulling for the penner jeff kent alliance. i had high hopes for RC, but abi and pete pretty much blew her shit up.

The funny thing about RC is that her alliance blew up for no reason at all. Everything they've shown on the episodes indicate that RC wasn't going to turn on Abi anytime soon.

Craziness.

Survivor's really bringing it with the challenges this season. I really liked that one, very unique.

Also I need a GIF of Skupin's wink to Penner, stat.
