As many of mentioned on here, the original Switch’s great library was thus due in part to ports of Wii U games that most people never even knew existed.
Due to the success of the Switch, however, Switch 2 won’t be able to benefit from the same remasters.
What it will benefit from though is the sheer amount of cross-gen games that PlayStation and Xbox has had to endure for the past 4 years, and co to use to endure.
When Switch launched in 2017, most developers had long since abandoned PS3 and 360, in 2025 however, there’s a ton of recently released titles which will be a doddle to port over to Switch 2…
Elden Ring
Street Fighter 6
Resident Evil 4 Remake
Cyberpunk 2077
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth
Howarts Legacy
Lies of P
Star Wars Jedi Survivor
Call of Duty Black Ops 6
Diablo IV
Dead by Daylight
Guilty Gear Strive
Stray
Halo Infinite
Forza Horizon 5
Microsoft Flight Simulator
Psychonauts 2
What say you GAF? Will Switch 2, unlike Switch 1, get a wealth of recent and relevant third party games?
