Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization |OT| - Just living in the Database Wow Wow

There are some unverified claims that DEX affects accuracy/critical rate and AGI affects evasion/critical evasion but I have not seen any solid proof of that.

Movement speed varies with the weapon/armor you are equipped with. Fastest being rapier/dagger and slowest greatsword/axe. Note that this variance only applies when you have the weapon drawn. Base movement speed while weapon is sheathed is the same for all weapon/armor types. Movement speed can be enhanced with certain buffs, SPD potions and gear with "movement speed + xx%" on them.

After finishing FFXV, I came back to my save at the 3rd raid boss who destroyed me before the big patch was released

Tried it again now and wow it was 1000x easier

Did the game feel too difficult pre-patch or did they just make it easy mode?

also is it agreed upon that they went way overboard with the npc quest messages? Its the most obnoxious thing about the game to me.

Looks like the major content 2.00 update (2.5gb) is finally out for the jp version of the game. Can finally jump back in, though I've forgotten pretty much everything including the controls in the last 2 months.

Nice Ill have to check that out. Lets hope they didnt do any more Einstein "balancing" fuck ups this time around.

Hope they locked whoever was responsible for some of the previous stuff in the basement...and without his red stapler.

Haven't went back to HR to check out the 2.0 yet, but I found the article released last week interesting - the devs are currently looking into what they want to add/change for the paid DLC:

About aspects considered for Shrine Maiden of the Abyss

Details about considered aspects of Shrine Maiden of the Abyss are written below. However, all of this is still at the ”consideration" stage, so there is no definitive promise that all the aspects detailed will be included in the additional content. That said, Bandai Namco is trying its best to be able to implement it all. Regarding the release date, Bandai Namco is working to have it come not long after the the ”Third Sacrament" update scheduled to be released around February.

Field Content

Enigma Order – There are ”parts" scattered all over the world at fixed times. Complete your equipment by collecting them.
Mimic Hunting – You can find mimics buried in the ground by getting an the ”maps" item that shoots beams of light.
Invisibility Product – Learn a special skill to get a ranged sonar. Reveals and defeats an invisible enemy.
Abyss – Light up a pitch dark dungeon while exploring and head for the goal while defeating enemies.

Addition of EX Sword Skills

Trials to Acquire Evolve Sword Skills – By clearing trials, your Sword Skills will evolve to have additional operations.

Added Ability to Assign Roles to Your Team

Growing with Your Heroine in Trials – Added abilities for a tank to guard all party members, a healer to support target through maintaining restoration and increasing the amount of power they can withstand, and also for a buffer to be able to special lock an enemy.

Addition of High-Difficulty Elements

Overlord Class – Features enemies that are extremely difficult to defeat.
Myth Class – Class with enemies that are nigh impossible to defeat. If you master a new element, it may be possible to defeat them.
Addition of infinite dungeons.

Addition of Special Strengthening Equipment

Unique Character-Specific Legendary Weapons – Unique graphic art. Lower quality imitation weapons that look the same will also be added.
Addition of Legendary Armor – Legendary Armor will continually evolve.
Addition of Aura Weapons – An evolution route to become an evil god has been added. Aura will be granted.
Addition of Armor with Special Effects – An armor group with effects that strengthen specific battle skills.
Ability to Fuse armor with secret stones added.

Communication Aspects

If there's a good atmosphere on a date you'll be granted a strong and long-lasting buff.
Increased the amount of date conversations.
Increased the amount of evening conversations.
Increase of the number of pillow talk characters. According to Producer Yosuke Futami, Argo will also be added.

Other

Stores that sell new items will be set up at every camp in new areas. Items with effects are planned.
Addition of blacksmith forges where you can bestow special effects onto items.
Increase in the amount of items peddlers have.

Can someone explain how stats and crit works in this game compared to Hollow Fragment?

Does crit work the same way? i.e. ignore def instead of a simple multiplier.

Does AGI and DEX do anything at all besides boosting their respective sword skills? There doesn't seem to be auto-dodge in this game.

Thanks in advance.

Think a lot of stuff works similar to HF with the stats. Am not sure about crits though Id have to look at a jp wiki.

Thanks Parakeetman, but DEX and AGI used to affect hit rate and dodge/block rate respectively in HF. Now that auto-dodge is gone in HR, it seems like these 2 stats are short-changed since STR and VIT increases damage and def.

Hang on a bit will try to look up info now that am back behind a pc.

Yeah right now it seems people are saying that DEX = Crit Rate and AGI = Attack Speed.

Trying to find info on exactly how crit is calculated if there is any that is.

Seems like the OT has been dead since January. Nonetheless, hopefully I can get an answer. And maybe start another discussion....

Sooo guys, for anyone that plays, how have you enjoyed the update? Highest rank you've achieved in PVP added at the Warriors of the Sky Update? Reached the newest max level of 100?

Like or dislike the Implement-esque Enigma Orders? And by the way, my main question I need answered is about one of the Enigma Orders.

I thought I knew what a Just Sword Skill was.....but I don't. They don't seem to be Sword Skill chains because the number needed isn't increasing when I perform them.

The enigma order's goal is to get 30 Just Sword Skills. I somehow managed to do 2/30. Just need a little info on them so I can purposefully do them.

Quoting myself.

Figured it out. As you're doing a normal attack combo, there will be a yellow flash somewhere in the middle of it. Perform any Sword Skill at that time and you'll hear a little glass shattering(at least that's what I thought the sound effect was) and that is the indicator that you performed a Just Sword Skill. It's pretty much a Sword Skill with no cost to SP and has an increased damage effect.

You'll see the number of times increase if you get any Enigma Order that requires you to do them.

Cheers.

First time picking this up since last December. Got all of the new patches at once.

I did the auto level 80 from one of the patches. Did I glitch the reach level 50 trophy since it hasn't popped yet for me?

I'm curious about that. I'm assuming that since it was an auto level rather than a normal experience bar reaching 100%-type of level, it didn't trigger it. However, if you do level at least one level the normal way, I believe it should still make it pop.

This is all a guess to me so since its been a week now, I'd like to know if my guess was correct or if the auto level really did glitch it forever.

So the game is only $30 on Amazon/GameStop right now. How is the state after all the patches? Is there NG+ now?

I did like the first game on Vita/PS4 but was ambivalent toward Lost Song.

Edit: Also is Season Pass worth it? I realize the OT is dead but figured I would ask anyway.

Basically if you liked the games content then the other stuff is just more of that. So at least its not some bullshit like horse armor or a mulitiplayer mode nobody asked for kinda deal. Unlike some AAA DLC trainwrecks in the past.

I still gotta grab the latest one myself waaaay too many other things out at the same time that is getting in the way :(
