Thanks. I'll probably pick it up.Yeah but the areas in SS are way more labyrinthine and cramped.

As a bioshock mega fan I feel great shame having not played this yet. Been on my wish list for so long but my backlog is just silly.Picked it up on PS5. Pure gaming bliss for me. Crazy to see so little traction on the official thread!

Looking Glass Studios created the immersive sim genre with Ultima Underworld and System Shock way back in the day. Prey 2017 and Bioshock are both descended from those LGS System Shock blueprints. Bioshock was streamlined/neutered for mainstream audiences, but Prey was a true successor. Is this like Prey and/or Bioshock? That's what it looks like to me.
I've almost bought it several times, between PS5 and Steam.
Prey, but only vaguely. SS Remake is hardcore man. A game from another time. There is literally no hand holding whatsoever. No questlog of any kind. You have to explore and listen to the audio logs to even learn what you have to do… Prepare the guides for the first playthrough. There is no shame in it.Ok thanks. Prey is one of my favorite games in general. Would Prey/Deus Ex be more fitting?
System Shock 2 Remastered is coming!Prey, but only vaguely. SS Remake is hardcore man. A game from another time. There is literally no hand holding whatsoever. No questlog of any kind. And enjoy this gem. God know when and if we‘ll ever see something like this again.
So it will just be uprezzed? Coming for consoles too?System Shock 2 Remastered is coming!
And unless you love backtracking, write down the screen number in the rooms where you destroy the CPU nodes.Oh, and some small tipps:
- Vaporize as much as possible. You will need the money for the upgrades.
- Quick-Save A LOT.
- Save the good weapons for the end. You gonna need em!!
- There are environmental suits that help with the radiation (find em first, don‘t run around without and die 100 times like I did; you can come by but it’s frustrating).
I recall they showed they're improving the models and textures too.So it will just be uprezzed? Coming for consoles too?
Love SS2. One of my favorite games ever.

This games sounds like Stalker games, where quick save is your best friend.Oh, and some small tipps:

Yea I made the mistake of not doing this early on and lost a lot of progress haha. It was enough to make me stop playing at the time.- Quick-Save A LOT.
Same. I KS'd in 2017. I finally got my PC physical copy/steelbook LAST WEEKIve waited so long ever since the kickstarter that I dont care anymore. Played it for 5 minutes lol
This I also have on my playthrough notes but I didn’t want to write it here because it’s kind of an spoiler. And unless you love backtracking, write down the screen number in the rooms where you destroy the CPU nodes.

Set aside 15+ proximity mines for final stretch. Rest can be used up. On normal difficulty.Oh, and some small tipps:

Most players probably activated it without following instructions, then thought they beat the game. (I did activated it by mistake)Game is so good. Just destroyed the mining laser, around 7 hours in (being meticulous). Only 14% of players on PS5 have done it, per the trophy stat. It’s pretty straightforward and you are given clear instructions in audio logs, so that’s a bit surprising. Guess the average gamer can’t handle System Shock.
