The reveal thread was tweeted to the dude. Why was GAF called out in that article? I think the Shoryuken forums would have more influence than any of us here.
I thought we learned to stop going to polygon for anything thats not a review?
Now NeoGAF is gonna get shit on even more if Harada pulls off a troll move lol.
I'm all for Lucky Chloe to be Europe and Japan exclusive.
If you really want to piss Harada off, do it properly.

She's "out of place" and "silly" in a game with Fighting Kangaroos, dinosaurs, dragons, sentient wooded dummies, fighting pandas/grizzly bears, angels devils, robots and a narcoleptic vampire?Really hope it's true. The character is fine for just about any other game coming out of japan, but she has no place in Tekken and it's just silly. Stick her in Summer Lesson if you need to.
To be fair, the character design is pretty trash.
To be fair, the character design is pretty trash.
And screw all you people who don't think people have a right to complain about stupid shit in their games. Very few, if any, of us actually asked for her to be removed, but we sure as hell gave our opinions.
Don't get your panties in a wad, she'll be there when the game releases.
No doubt. It's hilarious people are trying to toss the dudebro insult at those of us who hate this character, like a fucking cat girl is so original and unique. It's as cliched, lame, and downright lazy as any shave-headed, muscle-bound dude could ever be. Nothing about this character was unique or interesting, from the stupid cat ears and mitts to the headphones, to the stockings with knee-pads and boots, to to ear grating high pitched "I'm a 5 year old with 21 year old body" voice it's the same shit Japan has been regurgitating for years. She's virtually the Japanese equivalent of dudebro.
Be prepared for Iori in Tekken. If you really want to piss Harada off, do it properly.

Chole is so dumb, she is simply ridicilous, does not fit into the Roster and-

WHY WOULD A PIECE OF WOOD BE IN A FIGHTING TOURNAMENT!
What an awful post.
Why would you go there for a review?![]()
FTFYTo be fair, the character design is something I don't like and doesn't appeal to my interest so ill make a blanket statement like it is a fact.

To be fair, there was a lot of anger at Alisa too back in 2008. The people who don't like Chloe likely didn't like Alisa at the time of her reveal, and look upon her place in the cast begrudgingly. I know that I didn't like Lars or Alisa at the time when they were revealed, and I still don't really care for either character, just as I don't like Chloe.

Hm, okay, thats fair.
I still love to fight as Alisa, just because her ridicilous and over-the-top Fighting-Style is just how i like it. Thats why i already like Chloe.
But i can see, why there is a Wave of dislike towards her. I don't agree, but i understand.
I do give Alisa some points for the fighting style, which is another reason I'm more bothered by Chloe. She doesn't seem to add anything that's new or unique. Her fighting style looks like an amalgam of previous styles, some already in the game. Her design looks like an amalgam of anime tropes, some already in the game. Her personality seems to be generic cuteness, which is definitely already in the game.
It just seems like a worthless addition to me.
and when Western gamers reacted harshly to her,

Woah, never thought about it this way. Kind of a Bummer right now. Well, i still like her Design though, even if's just Anime 101
It's a bigger bummer because Harada has said that Tekken Tag Tournament 2 had too many characters, and that even Tekken 6 may have had too many characters. He said that he thinks a good number would be 36-38.
Tekken 6 had 40 (not including Panda)
Cut down 2 right off the bat to get it to 38. Plus 3 new characters. That's 3 more old characters gone. So 5 characters from 6, out. Maybe 7, if Arabian guy and Kazumi make it in.
And that's just Tekken 6. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 had 59 playable characters (most of them gag characters that were 5-6 moves away from being straight palette swaps, but then there were fleshed out and fairly unique ones like Kunimitsu, Jinpachi, etc.) So that's 21 characters gone.
I'm not saying that the roster will only have 38 characters, but there's little doubt in my mind that it will be reduced for the first time in 4.5 games. Right now, the only characters that I play that are confirmed for the game are Hwoarang, Leo, and Feng Wei, all of which I only dabble in. None of my favorite or main characters are in the game right now, and the only one that I'm sure will get a spot is Yoshimitsu.
So yeah, that's why, in a game that is already confirmed to have Xiaoyu, Alisa, Lili, and Asuka in it, I don't think Chloe is a good addition.
I can't think of anything creepier (that is legal) than catgirl fetishes.
Ah, the "slots" argument. Even if Chloe was purged from existence there no guarantee your favorite character(s) would get in. Dislike her because you don't like her design, fighting style, etc. Hating on her because "she took a slot" is a waste of your time and energy.
