Posting for new page for all of us 50ppp peasants.

I'm selling the following (most of this stuff is sitting on my alts right now; I'll transfer it this afternoon):

  • Googly Gazer: 3 refined
  • Fancy Fedora: 2 refined
  • Widowmaker: 2 scrap (that's a ridiculous 4 scrap discount off the craft price)
  • The Original: 2 scrap (that's a slightly less ridiculous 3 scrap discount off the craft price)
  • Cow Mangler 5000: 1 scrap (I have two of these)
  • Righteous Bison: 1 scrap
  • Anything on the first page of my backpack (other that the aforementioned items): Any one random weapon (just looking to help any new players missing old items; and I'll be transferring more random items in from my alts when I get back from work this afternoon).
  • 49 crates (11 #23, 8 #24, 5 each of #25, #26, #27 and #28): I dunno - a couple scrap for all of them? Maybe a junk-tier strange, like a Boston Basher or an Eyelander (already have a Strange Chargin' Targe - sadly)? Some paint? A big hug?

Seems like most folks are asking for metal more than just an outright weapons trade. Do you guys recommend smelting all my dupes for metal or keep them safe on the odd chance someone is looking for what I've got?

Also, should you ever smelt strange weapons? In other words, are they worth more whole?

This is what I have right now, but I'm looking for a crusaders crossbow, preferably strange.

Never. If it comes to that point, just keep it and use it yourself (that's what I did when I couldn't offload my Strange Chargin' Targe). Otherwise, at the very least take a scrap; a lot of people will pay a scrap for even the shittiest Strange (although you may need some patience).

Speaking of which, if anyone has a Strange Eyelander, I'll buy it for a scrap. :)

I think people seen the one-of person who gets an unusual early in their uncrating life and think they too will get one sooner rather than later. and while it could happen, there are 100:1 odds against you that you won't every time you open a crate.

Like I said before, I know of guys who opened hundreds of crates and have yet to get an unusual.

I've traded relatively low-cost games for my 5 Unusuals (people just really wanted those games) and in turn, I ended up spending about 40% of the actual value of my hats. I know full well that for what I've spent, I would have been lucky to get a single unusual...and even then, it may have been a class or effect I didn't like or want.

Hopefully you get it now. I just dump all of my crates to my alt account so that I'm never tempted to open them. Once I collect enough, I'll be looking to trade them for a few scraps if I can get them. But even then I'll feel bad because opening crates is really a fool's game.

I never use the direct hit also. Plus if you want a Strange Rocket launcher you're gonna need quite a bit of metal.

It will cost you around 2 refined to buy a Strange Rocket Launcher.

Generally the most desired stranges from a crate go for about the price of the key to open the crate.
