y'all should be ashamed
He's not going to get a lot of moderates, a good chunk of staunch conservatives and any of the "lesser evil" libertarians who voted GOP.

GOP is indeed done.
The thing is, these aren't votes for Hillary, they're no votes for anyone. And there are plenty who dislike Hillary.

I think the election is gonna be way closer than anyone thinks.

All hail the emperor

This is some of the best news of the year. Cruz is like the villain in Hercules. If there was any Republicsn nominee I didn't want to win it was this guy. Thank you sweet baby Jesus.

It cracks me up how people think the GOP will collapse. If anything, Trump set a new bar for what's acceptable. Look at when he had 3%. A lot of GOP establishment said they'd never support. More came on as his numbers grew. Now you have even more Republicans falling in behind. They'll just accept this and now they know the new ways around admitting their blatant racism.

Gonna be fucking hilarious when Cruz falls in line next. Back to basics folks.

My father, a staunch conservative, just texted me #NEVERNEVERNEVERNEVERNEVERTRUMP. In fact I know several conservatives who have said they would vote for Hillary in this matchup.

GOP so fucked

It goes both ways. Alot of Sanders supporters hate Clinton with a passion, and could possibly support Trump. In fact, if Sanders wants to burn it all down he should endorse Trump when he finally bows out.

That's what my fear gland is telling me.

But my rational side thinks it'll be a landslide through a combination of Hillary actually knowing what she's talking about, being able to speak authoritatively and the historic nature of being the first female president for the US.

And then my fear gland reminds me that all kinds of surprising shit can happen in an election year, and there's no way to guarantee that Hillary doesn't implode her own campaign.

Flash back to ten months ago:

"Everyone here realizes Jeb Bush is going to destroy him right?"

I'm scared. Hold me.

Who said that on these boards? (Legitimately, because I may have tuned them out, because it was very clear Trump had an advantage over Bush that far out.)

For the sake of humanity, I want Hilldawg to win.

But the schadenfreude if Trump wins? It'd almost be worth the death of humanity... Almost.

That's a fair point. I guess the question is if there's enough Trumpmania to overcome the disaffected traditional voters. There very well might be enough.

They will after the general

So Trump from the Republican side huh? Couldn't have written a crazier primary election. Can you imagine the PRESIDENTIAL debates? Still shocked that Trump is ONE of two people in this country we think best to lead it from our party system. How flawed and sad.

I keep saying the same thing here and everyone wants to run me out of town. The election isn't for another SIX months. Literally anything can happen (and I don't even care about the FBI thing). If people want to call it a couple weeks away when the polling is clear as night then that is one thing, but there hasn't been a single debate between them to this point.

I'm legit scared. Because I feel when the majority of people get in the booth and have the names in front of them, they'll go Trump.

Well, no one would have guessed Trumps success so far so I am basically of the opinion that anything can happen. The American anger at politicians knows no bounds from a republican perspective. I doubt trump has a chance though. Time will tell.
