Not that this needed debunking to begin with.

It's odd that it doesn't address the simplest element of this directly:

Poor people are treated badly by the Republican party as a matter of policy.


Unless released felons are overwhelmingly well-off, I fail to see how Cruz's statement shouldn't be taken as a damning indictment of his party.

We're supposed to stop condemning republicans for using false and incendiary rhetoric about abortions. At least that's what he wants to achieve with that statement.

Because it's never about if what you are doing is wrong. It's always about how the other side are doing something worse.

I laughed out loud. Some of my family file into this category and during Thanksgiving they were saying shit so fucking stupid that I damn near bit my tongue off in order to avoid turning the day into a chaotic shit-flinging mess, even though they clearly already had that one covered.
