Small season 4 tidbit...

In true Teen Wolf fashion, there will be two villains this season. Besides the return of Auntie Kate, there will also be a mysterious new enemy known as "The Benefactor".

In semi-related TW news, Seth Gilliam (Deaton) has been cast as a series regular on the upcoming season of The Walking Dead.

He is still expected to continue his role on Teen Wolf however.

Holy crap, they just offed Allison and I FELT IT. Seriously, I wasn't expecting that. She seemed like such an important character to be killed, but at least they sent her away with respect, not like any other chump. Massive kudos to the writing room for making me like her in her last moments.

And talking about chumps, did the Oni just murderize AN ENTIRE HOSPITAL WING? What is the great state of California waiting for before sending the National Guard already?

Edit: oh wow, Ayden too. This is a veritable bloodbath. I'm sad to see him go, too. Having just one of them is not going to be the same.
Edit 2: oh shit, CRAZY KATE IS BACK... and what the fuck is she now?

Yeah, public safety takes a backseat to family drama. Still waiting on Agent McCall's report to the FBI on what the shit is happening in Beacon Hills.

They killed off Allison cause Crystal Reed wanted off the show. It's sad and funny at the same time when she realized she had nothing lined up to do after TW.

Mostly sad.

So that was it. Two important characters got killed just as two other peeps got introduced to the gang. I'm not saying Allison and Ayden were the founding pillars of Teen Wolf (well, Allison kind of was...) but I'll still miss them. For all my bitching since S1, Allison in particular managed to make a significant turnaround near the end of the season, which should have probably warned me about her impeding fate. Alas...

This season felt considerably more solid, mature and enjoyable. Even production values seemed a heck of a lot higher than the others. I've been coming back to Teen Wolf almost wearily in the past, but I'll most probably follow the next season along the rest of the thread. Teen Wolf has become genuinely enjoyable, although I really, really hope they cut the episode count and/or the writing room finally learns not to meander as much as they do, because there were a couple of times when I had no. fucking. idea. about what was the deal with the nogitsune or why the heck there were two different Stiles. Soap opera rhythm doesn't really fit supernatural shows, no matter the amount of teen drama.

Well, that really sucks. I can't say I blame her, though. Girl is pushing 30 and she was still playing a vapid high school girl. That can't be good for her career nor... herself, really. It's too bad she couldn't find anything else before jumping ship.

I'm sure Banshee is hiring, though...

PS: At least daddy Argent is going to stick around, specially now that Crazy Kate is back. I really enjoyed him, he's probably one of the most likeable actors in this show. Now if the writers could give Derek something meaningful to work with...

Lame.... and just when I was really getting into the show.

(I hate big gaps between seasons.)

Even though season 3 had 24 episodes, it was in all other aspects, two separate seasons.

The wait between seasons 4 and 5 will be longer, yes, but no longer than most other cable shows. And season 4 starts in less than two months, so there's a lot to look forward to in the near future.

I'm happy that the wait for season 4 is only two months but I loved the double split season, lots of great Teen Wolf.

Oh well, it must be hell on the production crew.

I despise the shortness of Cable shows tbh....

Drives me nuts.

Oh well. I am sure that the season will be amazing anyways!
Think of it this way would you rather have 24 episodes with probably half of those being filler or just 12 episodes of a nice quality condensed storyline.

Yeah it was much better than previous seasons, but I still think this format made the plot drag a bit too much. I'd rather have 100% self-contained seasons with a smaller number of episodes, unless they decide to go all out with a crazy fast plot in the vein of Arrow (which could be pretty cool, actually).

I think it's actually pretty cool over a span of 1 year (Summer of 2013-Summer of 2014) we would have gotten 3 Teen Wolf seasons. That's pretty incredible.

No new news but I just wanted to say I know a bunch of us run into each other in the TV threads so we kinda have similar tastes sorta.

Anyway, the new MTV show "Faking It" is pretty fucking great and I think a lot of you would enjoy it.

Imagine a coming of age teen show from a female perspective that moves at the same pacing as Teen Wolf.

Looks like it could be quite entertaining
For a minute I thought the guy at the party was Kurt from glee

Isn't that the show with a fake lesbian couple? Unless they have half naked hot guys it won't be able to compete with Teen Wolf, sorry.

Edit: Okay, I clicked the link, it is the fake lesbian show, It doesn't look bad but it's still no competition for TW.

Looking at Tyler Hoechlin's magnificent facial hair, I wonder how much of a nightmare must be to groom the rest of his body. I'd probably bleed to death just by doing my neck.

I thought watching the Tomorrow People would help with the wait. It has, I feel no withdrawal. Game of Thrones is a different story.

Doesn't it just make you sad though? You'll never see them again.

Good scifi-fantasy shows die off before their time. They also get stale when plot direction takes a nose dive. I have mixed feelings about it being discontinued. Still though, I'd like to see it continue.
Seeing John cry out for Kara before his mind was rewritten/brainwashed just shattered me. Very emotionally provoking scene. Would have loved to see where the character was going after that. He finally found inner peace and laid those internal struggles to rest only to be stripped of all that made him who he was.....DAMN IT ALL! It was great to see Jeffrey Pierce act again. GAWD, haven't seen the dude act since Charlie Jade back in 2005. That was also a good sci-fi show imo.

This is why I DVR high risk shows now. Too many times I got attached to shows, only to have the cancelled in their first season. Very rarely now will I commit to watching a brand new show without waiting a few weeks to see how it's doing.

Yeah, it's probably went to be like a rising from the ashes type metaphor.

Though the money in the air is interesting.
Yeah.. wonder what that means.

Anyway, it's incredible how the last few minutes of Insatiable and all of The Divine Move are still able to destroy me and get me into tears. Aiden's death and the montage really get me going.
