Never look at the Teen Wolf tag on Tumblr, it's full of stupidity and people being mad because "Sterek" hasn't happened yet.
Well that's not true otherwise people wouldn't have been attached in the first place. It's mainly the fact that we get introduced to these new characters who are very much like how Scott was (Social downcast, newly werewolves) and then they do absolutely NOTHING with these characters save for Issac.

Hmmm.. true, I did a little bit of reading and it seems like they had stuff planned for Erica like they had for Issac, but she left the show and because of the strong connection Boyd had with her, they didn't know what to do with him so they killed him off. Cora was just a replacement for the stuff they had planned for Erica and the actress for Cora just left to film something else.
