I feel like the reason why they made Scott seem like such a shitty Alpha (power-wise) Was so that this whole season would have a larger impact on Scott, it always seems like he's holding back when he fights.

I feel like the reason why they made Scott seem like such a shitty Alpha (power-wise) Was so that this whole season would have a larger impact on Scott, it always seems like he's holding back when he fights.

Maybe the loss of his former beloved is holding him back in some sense. Well, now he's responsible for a beta. A comrade/brother/kin of his own making. It'll be interesting, watching him instill his values and beliefs into a character so prone to anger. Perhaps this learning experience will bring some inner peace to both while helping them move forward.

I'm surprised at Season 5 being twenty episodes since I thought Davis said that the production of the lengthy season three was pretty brutal.

I can only assume it's happening because the production team knows what to expect this time, and the people in charge must be reasonably confident that they're up to the task. Let's hope good planning leads to a split season at least as entertaining as Season 3. I'd like to see one half of Season 5 mix things up a bit like 3B, and the other half bring more of the classic Teen Wolf vibe I've been enjoying in the last few episodes.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find a teen genre show where the older characters are utilized half as good as they are in Teen Wolf. Yes, they could do with some more attention, but I think they've more than earned their keep.

Just watched the trailer again. We see him in full transformation at the end of the trailer. So I'd like to think they'll be doing something important with him.

"You were my beta first Scott. It was my bite that changed your life and my bite that can end it"

So he might be planning to go full alpha again. We'll see. It's kind of a let down to see him go full evil if that's the road they take him down. It just feels to predictable. Now if he were to take on more of a complex anti-hero role that would be interesting. Maybe not even that; if he were to be just who he is but would have more interaction in the series that would be fine. He's definitely one of my favorites when he's got something to do with the plot.

Teen Wolf has so many good characters, that unfortunately there is not enough time to highlight them all consistently, but I'd rather they make the effort rather than bump them off.
