Teen Wolf (Season 4) |OT| Can't go back... to wearing a shirt.

Teen Wolf has so many good characters, that unfortunately there is not enough time to highlight them all consistently, but I'd rather they make the effort rather than bump them off.

I would rather have a few well developed characters than 20 "almost" characters.

The show is getting into bloat territory.

TBH. I was kind of hoping that the whole "wolf transformation" bit from the first season was one of those lame first season screwups that would be buried and forgotten.

It probably will. None of the alphas from the alpha pack were able to shift like that. I'm more interested in Talia Hale's wolf transformation. What must a were-wolf do in order to shift like that? She clearly didn't teach it to all her progeny in any way we know. You see it for a split second in the intro when Derek comes up. So does he have the potential for it? They gotta do something with that. Also, does Peter have the potential to be a "Demon Wolf".

All these plot devices, character developments, and god knows what else, unused or probably pushed aside makes the show feel sloppy in some aspect. I don't like it but I don't necessarily hate it. Teen Wolf is still a good show overall. However, it would be good if they could clear most of this stuff up before they kill off, or just axe, more of the original cast.

Shits bout to get so real. So they're showing the full season at once right? No mid-season break like most shows?
Teen Wolf runs consecutively. (Though next season will be split into two halves, like season 3 was, but those were for all intents and purposes, two separate seasons.)

I can't remember Teen Wolf ever skipping a week.

That trailer was amazing.

And bizarrely enough, more "mature looking" than the show itself. I wish I could explain. It just felt a lot more thrill.

Oh a wolf wolf?
Scott gone so alpha that he can turn into a wolf like Derek and Peters mum can?

I've watched the panel for once and feel embarassed to watch this show now.

The way they react to the Danny question suggests his role is a spoiler or something big...D:

There's no way Danny is the Benefactor lol... right?

That would be too dumb even for Teen Wolf so for now I'll rather think they were all aware of this rumor and it's a joke among them, or something.

Realistically Danny probably just has some sort of memorable scene somewhere down the line.

They always seem to have a problem dealing with characters who have nothing else to do or achieve in the story sticking around because the actors are still in the show. Hopefully the fat is trimmed by the end of this season, like Wafflecakes said it's getting into bloat territory. It's a shame how none of the Hales ever got anywhere. At certain points it felt like they had more planned for the survivors of the clan, but it kept fizzling out (does anyone even remember Cora).

Honestly it's not all the writers' fault, pretty much all of the actors who they got for new characters in Season 2 left in Season 3 (Erica, Boyd,Cora, and even Issac) So that's why it felt like they never got anywhere. Derek's pack attempt failed miserably and felt pointless lol.

Yeah, I agree. With TV shows it's always more than one thing affecting plans and sometimes things just don't pan out like intended. Still, it's unfortunate that it's like nothing they plan for Derek, Peter or the Hale clan in general ever gets anywhere. Since his character failed and got captured so often, I hope that if/when Hoechlin leaves the show at least it will be in awesomeness.

Nice, will he be added to the opening credits? What about Parrish, he should be a regular too!
Yeah, I think he's being added to the credits. I don't think Parrish is as important as Liam or anyone else in the credits, so I don't see it happening.

Off topic question but would you guys recommend The Vampire Diaries? I've always been interested but the premise of girl in high school meets some vampire dude doesn't really sound interesting.

Watch The Strain instead.

But Parrish is hot, a shirtless shot in the credits every week would make me happy.

Yes! It's kinda awful at first but the show improves significantly after the first 7 or 8 episodes of season 1. Nina Dobrev is an awesome lead, you probably won't notice at first, it takes some time before the show allowed her to show off her acting skills. The series is pretty fast paced with twists in the storyline that you probably won't see coming, the stuff they do in season 1 alone is something other shows would have stretched out over 3 seasons.

The evolution of season 1 is like this: "Eh ... reminds me of Twilight" -> "I guess it's not that bad" -> "Huh, I didn't see that coming ..." -> "WTF?!" -> "That's actually pretty good!" -> "OMG! Give me season 2 now!"

I want to watch this show because of Jackie Nevada. I know she's a regular only from season 4. Is this show good? How soapy is it?
It's a little bit soapy at the start but that's played down in the later seasons, it's definitely campy though. I think it's good (not Breaking Bad good, so don't expect that) and improves every season.

I'd say Teen Wolf is more comedy and horror than soap, it does get pretty soapy at times but it's not bad soap stuff, and there's lots of twists, revelations, and mysteries that make it a great TV show. Scott is a great main character, Allison is a badass, Stiles is an amazing character that's not just comic relief, Lydia is one of the best characters on the show and delivers great scenes, and Derek is a victim of unexpected behind the scenes stuff that makes some of his storylines seem pointless.

Honestly, just watch it. It's a pretty great show once you get past the name.

I wouldn't say Allison is a badass, any scenes with weapons were cringe worthy, except the bow.
They somehow managed to make that even worse with Kira. Not only it's embarassing and hilarious but they even pulled the "lol I've learned to use the katana in two hours, it's in my blood lol. Get it, I'm japanese".

Lord every Kira fight scene has been awful
