Nah. It's pretty bad IMO. I appreciate that it's the same song but its sung pretty badly.

The art and the spritework more than make up for it though.
 
Looks gorgeous! The animation and sprites are sick, the artwork is fine... it's fine... you know... it's a great representation of the 80s / 90s cartoon and videogame style beat 'em up stuff.
And I love Turtles in Time, still got it on the SNES, however I feel like I need to say it... does anyone not care for Kevin Eastmans art or what??

Seriously I feel at this point if we're going to revisit a fantastic game like Turtles I think a "fresh" visual overhaul might be warranted.
Not to mention the original stories in those books we're pretty good. Gritty comic art and story, what Turtles was before it got the "kiddy" treatment.

Again I'm digging what I'm seeing and I'll definitely buy, but I've always hoped for a different Turtles at some point.

I'm 100% in on this. Was scared all the way through the cinematic about what the in-game art style would be like but it looks great. Props to the team for putting the effort into sprites, takes me back to the 4 player arcade.

Sprites are a little cutified compared to the original but still looks great, michaelangelo's run anim is cool. Great work devs if you are reading this.

And thank God they didn't go the way of SOR4 with the awful cheap flash looking art style.

Unless my eyes are telling me differently, looks like totally re-worked sprites too, along with many additional character specific animations. Very neat.
 
Lol people saying Mike Patton sings it badly just because it's different from the original. Whew. Imagine insulting that man's singing.

Anyway, game looks fantastic. Day one.

Theres something off about the sound effects. They sound weak. And i miss the YA the turtles would do in the old games.
 
I looked at the trailer better and this is actually basically a dream come true. I love that the music is Ninja Turles-y. Hope the game has more of that sound.

Looks great and day one for me(most likely). The singing of the theme song was merely okay. I'm not sure how I feel about the games graphics. On the one hand I love that they are going the nostalgic route with the visuals but at the same time I would have loved for the visuals to be more impressive.
 
Not crazy about Patton's take on the traditional theme, it might grow on me.

After Streets of Rage 4, they get the benefit of the doubt with this until proven otherwise. It does look a bit different, I'd prefer it more traditional like the old ones. But time will tell. 2021 and we get this, last year was the return of Pilgrim and SOR4 before that. It's a good time.
 
Going for that retro style, zero risk. Game looks nice, so now we have to see how well it plays...

Same publisher, but not the same developer as Streets of Rage 4.

Animation looks very detailed, and often, it does not work so well with beat'em ups / fighting games.

The remixed music is abysmal as well.

Fuck this game. Stomping all over my rose tinted arcade memories.

Love seeing the original turtles in those cutscenes... so much better than the trash movies and more recent cartoons that ruined their appearance.

I only wish that WayForward was doing the sprite work. Then we'd get more faithful quality and at least an... interesting April.
 
Those devs That publisher did such an excellent job with streets of rage. I'm super hyped.

They literally have the power to make it look like the animated stuff at the beginning and they go for old school retro sprites.

They need to take a page out of SoR4 and DD: Neon and go for a more modern look.

Of course people would complain then too.

Please. Everyone complaining about it would be upset if it was the exact same minus one note. Any change to it whatsoever and it would be deemed "shit" simply because of the one change.
