Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge Reveal trailer

Looks really solid, including the music, which is key. One thing that sticks out are the avatars at the top. I'm hoping those are placeholders.

Man, looking realllllllly good. Digging it quite a bit.

Yeah, I think the player UI at the top of the screen pokes at me a bit, not really sure what it is about it. Kinda nitpicky I suppose. It looks great!

God, this looks like solidified dreams.
I loved the cartoon as a kid, it was my favourite by a large margin. Love to death its art style, spent hours as a kid drawing the turtles, Krang and Shredder. Still one of - if not THE - my favourite cartoon styles ever. And this. Looks. Perfect.
If the gameplay is on par I will be a very happy child.

Looks like ass juice. That UI is horrendous.

Music sounds like shit too.

The art style is very classic. Even the backgrounds have that old school look to them. It's not just pixel art, they are really going for that early 90s art design and pulling it off. Release date please!

This looks great, but I'm still waiting for a Rocksteady developed TMNT game based on the original comics.
I would've wanted this before their last arkham game. Now I think they'd just make tmnt a shitty game as a service game out of it. Would much prefer it if they Bebop a crack at making the game instead.

I like it...but was expecting to hear the turtles/enemies speak or say something or some sort of battlecry during their moves. Anyways looking forward to this...

I need this game. Wouldn't say no to a Turtles in Time remaster either (though not the hideous Ubi 3D update if you please).

I really feel sorry for you, buddy. I loved those games back in the day. TMNT II, III, and IV were childhood staples for me, and I must have cleared IV at least 50 times and even discovered the hidden music tracks on the options screen somehow. Re-shelled was total ass. This is looking like a masterpiece, music and all.

One-nunchuck Mikey is an odd choice, but the spritework is fantastic in this, I'm in 100%

I did nunchaku "sport" for a couple years when I was *much* younger. I know what you're saying but let me telll you, better one than two. Blocking attacks etc.

After reading the Mirage series, and the ongoing Image comics series, or even the OG movie in the 90's, this aesthetic is my least favorite.

But I'll still play this one because I like beat-em-ups.

Am I the only one who thinks the proportions on the turtles look weird in this? Like their heads are too big, or they are too stubby looking?

Regardless I'll probably be buying this, love this kind of stuff. :messenger_beaming:

I think the pixel work and animations are ok, but not great.

I agree. It's 'just ok'. A little unfortunate. But I will also be buying it, because I want to support the developer and show them we want more. If only they could have licensed the Konami tracks! It's a hard soundtrack to live up to... I mean, any of the TMNT games, they all have great tunes from arcade to NES and SNES

And then while they are at it, copy the Konami arcade turtle sprites. :-)

As will I! I agree on the tunes as well.

  • They are doing the game with nickelodeon direct support so they are very hopeful for a killer physical edition (Maybe classic TMNT toys, etc, they had good partnership so far)
  • They haven't started on what they will be doing with the physical edition yet, but they see nothing that will stop them from doing one.
Honestly, this is good news to me. I am hopeful the physical edition comes out a little later as like a complete edition.
Wonder if they could add Splinter and Casey Jones (maybe others) as dlc characters later down the line ?

Either way I'm buying this. Looks great.
You mean as unlockable characters. I don't want/need no DLC. This is old school so it should feel old school on the content. Hidden characters even where you need to input a code or do something.

So I think this is a true sequel / successor to the Arcade games of the 1990s. Those two games were based on the cartoon of the time and those sprites reflected that cartoon.

As I understand it, right now Nickelodeon owns the turtles IP and has some new cartoon. I think these sprites reflect the art style of the new cartoon but in a pixel style that harkens back to the 1990s. It's definitely not as I would prefer but I can accept that it's based on the cartoon of now. I'm still pumped for this.

I think I am warming up to the idea of only one nunchuck... but they could have at least drawn the chains! It looks like a little string attaches them. I know the resolution is low, but they didn't even try.
