Tekken 5 trailer/playable demo to be included with Ace Combat 5/Death by Degrees

Kumiko Nikaido

Vindication...sweet.
I was glancing over some marketing support material for Namco's upcoming Tekken 5, and I noticed it stated they intend to include trailers and/or playable demos of it with their "holiday releases" of Death by Degrees and Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War for PS2.

Seeing as how Death by Degrees was pushed back to next year, I'd assume that the Tekken 5 playable demo will be included with that game. Since Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War is right around the corner, most likely a trailer of it will be included with that game.

Content subject to change, of course.

Err, how is this a bad thing. Extra demo's rock.
Having to buy a game you don't want just to play a demo of a game you do want? God bless Konami for putting MGS3 demo in OPM this time around. That ZOE MGS2 pack-in was BS.

Whoa so does this mean PS2 isn't going to have a problem handling System 258-boosted T5 graphics?

Tekken 5 is loaded with effects and polycounts galore, and I thought the game would be a bit much for a PS2 to swallow. I guess not!

Well, if it's the only way to the get the demo I agree it sucks. If not, that's cool.

Anyone who spends $50 on a game just to get their hands on a demo disc that's packed in with it is a moron. If it's a demo of a game you do want, exercise a little patience and put the money aside for when the full game's released, rather than wasting it on some game you could care less about just to play a 1-2 level demo of a game you've already decided to buy anyway.

For the record I have never bought a $50 game to get a pack-in demo, however I am irritated by the fact that said demo is only available to those who do in fact purchase the game it is bundled with.

It's cool if the demo comes with AC5, but if it only comes with Death By Degrees...
There is no way I will be stooping so low.

Tekken 3 came out on PS1...games can be downgraded when ported(though if it isn't arcade perfect, i wouldn't expect T5 to PS2 to be as much of a downgrade as T3 to PS1 was)

Thank you, you said it all. I'll stop there this time, I'm usually cranky in the morning

Everyone in the world should be buying AC5 any damn way so da problem is?

All you DBD haters can kiss my ass.

Actually, I've yet to play the game. I just felt like saying that.

And some people here have paid $35 or so for the RE4 demo alone. Buying a $50 game for a demo doesn't seem so "moronic" by comparison.
