Everybody’s Golf: Hot Shots overview trailer, out 9/5

I hope it will be good, the PS3 version was so incredibly comfy back in the days.

If it's made with the same care as the Patapon 1+2 Switch version then it should be fine.

Looks fun... also does not look like its getting a physical release... at least I could not find a listing for one.

oh it was Super Swing Golf. looks the same either way.

Pangya was the GaaS ripoff of HotShots, ie. It looked the same by design.

Amusingly pangya had a release on psp also

Though in fairness it did more with course layouts than any other game(there were literally courses where you play on top of skyscrapers etc), so it'd be unfair to say it brought nothing new to the table.

But yes, this new release is a remaster of Vita/ps3 game pretty much, so it looks suitable to that.

Need to transition off Switch Mario Golf for my fix.
Mario Golf was fun but yeah, I'm ready to move on to something better. Way too many gimmicks for my liking. I hate seeing courses cluttered with enemy obstacles and stuff. The 3DS version needs to be the blueprint for future titles IMO.

Not in America.

Looks great and very reminiscent of the Vita game which is the best of the series IMO. Day 1 for me.

Holy shit the audio mixing on that trailer is HILARIOUS.

Game looks awesome. I enjoyed the latest Mario Golf for a few weeks, especially when I played with friends, but it died off super quickly for me. I want just a good, classic Camelot-inspired golf game.

I wish they'd just remake Mario Golf on the GBC. That's probably my favorite golf game of all time.

Idk what it is about golf games but they are simply better on handhelds imo.

Looks pretty good. I might pick it up when the time comes. It'll be new to me, because I've never played an EG game before.

I have never pre-ordered a game digitally in my life, this might change with this one.

I can't decide if I should get the Asian physical copy or just stick with the download and be done with it.

Any word on how many courses are in this one?

I'm so excited for this. I hooked up my ps3 to play invitational, but the controller is totally dead lol. Won't even work whilst wired... sigh.

I love Everybody's Golf, but was not a fan of the online PS4 game.

If this has a lot of the older PS3 and PSP courses then it should be great, on paper.

Got a physical copy for Switch preordered from VGP. The Switch just seems like the perfect platform for me with this series. My first introduction to everybody's golf was at the launch of the PSP, and it was nice to play on the go. Got the PSP game along with a Japanese system, and even without knowing Japanese at the time, I was addicted to it. Kept playing the series going forward after that, but I never did play the PS4 game cuz I didn't really like how it looked visually.

Like how this one is bringing back a lot of the previous characters. I wonder if any of the PSP characters will be in it...I played as Mika(Yumeri) a lot on the PSP game.

Depends if it retrains the mechanical depth of the series. Sadly, Clap Hanz post Hot Shots/Everybody's Golf got dumbed down (probably because of being on phones). Let's hope Bamco can carry the torch of the series.

Clap Hanz Switch port of their mobile game was absolute dogshit. So bad that I'm not even mad they let somebody else do this game.

It feels... weird. I will play more before saying anything else.

I got a few months free of Apple Arcade. Fired that up as soon as I saw it. Then I was like wtf is this?

Having this game installed on my steam Deck next to me while I work is gonna be dangerous for a long time

This game feels a little weird, and you can tell it's a different dev, but it also feels more like Hotshots than the last game… I like it. I like most of the changes, but it still does take some adjustment. Overall, happy with it so far.

I guess interest in this wasn't too high... Anyway I've been enjoying this. Hasn't quite supplanted Invitational as my favorite Hot Shots (combo of probably nostalgia and loving the crown system) but it's close. The story mode is pretty awful lol... I'm just skipping the dialog now, but it's fun in practice. There's a setting that auto-skips the skits lol. Even they know it's bad haha.

No regrets buying this. And it feels more like a sequel to Invitational than the most recent (imo crappy) Everybody's Golf.

Having it on pc and steam deck, and liking challenge and story modes and the unlocks is enough for me. I've played around 10 hours. Still haven't tried the other modes.

Not sure it'll ever come off my Steam Deck. It's also a great pickup/put down game while at work. (I work from home)
