Tekken Tag Tournament 2 |OT| Awaiting the "Final Battle"

Nerfing floats during oki was the right call. It is absolutely ludicrous how rewarding oki has historically been in the past few Tekken games.

I'm sure King players like the change. They still have strong options vs knockdowns.

I'd say grappler players in general like the change but ... well...

OK, too soon. Sorry.

OK, too soon. Sorry.

I hate you...

Seriously though, King's T7 oki options got completely removed in the latest build... So yeah... not too happy about it...

(And I'm furious that they are using King again to job for this chloe girl... Namco doesn't want my money grrrrr....)

There's more to Oki than picking people up

While that is true, a strong oki game means potential of putting a lot of hurt on an grounded opponent. I do not think the current T7 oki will let me have that. The only thing close to that is kip up float and that is nothing since toe kick outclasses almost every wakeup option someone has...

I know it's still the early build, but I'm hoping they tune the character lighting. Way too much next-gen shiny, just look at Bryan glistening in the snow. That's been my only gripe with the graphics since the loctest, really.

I'm guessing that's a stage thing, characters were more shiny in some stages in Tag 2 as well.

TTT2 |OT2| Lucky Chloe Box.

Though I guess some might interpret that the wrong way :p

It's great to see the graphics improving from the first build to now but yeah, the shininess is kinda weird. It needs to be toned down.

Looking forward to seeing the January build though, graphics should be improved and characters are gonna sweat. :D
Hopefully we'll see some more returning characters (Nina) as well.

No

The thread is reaching 20,000 posts, and when it does it will be closed, AAK will have to make an OT2.

Oh okay.

How about
TTT2 |OT2| We're so Lucky to have Chloe
TTT2 |OT2| ARE YUU REDII?
TTT2 |OT2| Lucky Chloe's Gon to Heihachi

By the way, my first post is almost a year ago. I think it was the 20th December 2013 or something. That's also the time I began taking Tekken seriously. Time flies :D

LOL That's great!!!!

Also, I do not mean to stir the proverbial pot anymore, but the unwarranted hatred for Lucky Chloe is absolutely preposterous around the internet for a character that one has even played yet. I know EXACTLY what Harada means by the muscle, skinhead quote and I wholeheartedly agree with him. A couple of my friends think I am rather strange for maining the Williams instead of the Mishimas or one of the "popular" male characters like most other people on my friends list. I'm like, really??? >_< IF we lose Lucky Chloe in Tekken 7, I will be extremely disappointed you disgruntled US gamers. She should stay in. I think I will main her just to royally piss people off online. :3

OK, too soon. Sorry.

Giving King f2,1 is good because his old f2,2 was shit, hopefully ff2,1 is removed too. Worst move ever and I did it acidentally thinking he has his match punch back.

AK d3 might be a nerf for King though. Generic d3 had range and left crouching for df2 df1 ws moves mixing. It's gone. In loc test ppl used d4 instead but must be done close since no range.

Why should you be rewarded so much in the first place? As soon as the opponent is grounded the ball is in your court. You already have the advantage. You can do a lil extra damage or dictate how the opponent can get up to continue the offense. That's all you really need when it comes to Oki. You don't need to be able to massacre a grounded player. Oki is strong as long as the player on the floor has lesser and weaker options than the player who put em there in first place.

This isn't mk9, or injustice where the opponent can pretty much get up with an invincible special and completely negate the knockdown advantage.

Why do I have to get rewarded? Because that strong oki potential comes from reads and that same options I have will get me launched if my opponent reads that? Sorry but your idea of oki is too cut and dry. Just like in many parts of the game, people should get provided that balls to the walls option of sacrificing that little but almost guaranteed oki advantage to provide some risky yet nasty hurt on the opponent. That is why oki is regarded as one of the unique and fun aspect of tekken. If you are mad salty because of that, good! The game is doing its job.

Edit: Nice find by SSFox, Katarina is actually an inspired character...

Strong oki, rejuggling, damage and that grounded opponent wasn't invulnerable at any time was the thing that made a difference between Tekken and other FG. Imo it's a rich and awesome system with depth. Resets and rejuggles were impressive and flashy part of offense. Removing this is so fucking lame, one more part of Tekken heart is gone. I know some people like VF getup system more where you get invincible get up and there it's done, but that's why Tekken system was much more interesting. There's no get out of jail free card. Shame they are dumbing it down Revo style because ppl can't be bothered to stay focused 100% of the fight.

"Stop juggling meeee!" "Let meee get uuuup!" "You cheater!"

Lazy ppl dictating future of Tekken.

Namco releasing Fighting Edition T6/TTT2/SCV compilation. For Europe.

I think it's only the games, no updates. Damn, give me T6 with Tag2 netcode.

You still have to know how to get up properly it's just less punishing if you Fuck up in the process. Y'all act this is every other game when it's still Tekken Oki just a single aspect of it is gone.

Floats are gone, nothing else about Tekken Oki is gone.

It's not laziness it's just an unnecessarily complicated feature that makes it hard for people to properly get into that game. Calling it lazy is dismissive of ways the game can and should improve.

There's more gone since there are new lightning fast getups from every position, backrolls are gone, new toe kick into automatic back roll getup is in. Offense is minimized not only because there are no floats.

Brand new sealed copy of ttt2 360.

Online pass is rejected. Try again carefully and no dice.

Bring it back to the shop and they tell me since it opened I could have used the code already.

For fucks sake. Another $10 to play online?

Sigh. Back to Killer instinct I go :(

The point of back rolling is to separate you from your opponent. The new get up doesn't give you a lot of room to breathe since your opponent is right in your face afterwards. We don't know the frames on the toe kick during the kick(which is still probably hopkickable by some characters) or when they get up. Could be that the toe kick into backroll only provides space and still have the -frames the previous toe kick gave so it could be useless at the wall or blocked into a launcher or easy CH bait.

Not seeing Offense being minimized here.

How is that thing minus ? Not only in trips on hit but forces crouch. And you get so far away, jesus christ.

ReadyGiftedBernesemountaindog.gif

Good because that's the only way to backroll.

How is it minus? The same way Tag Crash is like -7.

Edit: Looking at it some more , it looks like it staggers on CH. Toe kick got buffed good.

After like a year of not playing, I ended up playing way too much of this stupid game today and ended up hating myself for it. When will I ever learn?

Tekken requires a Jesus like level of patience and enlightenment in order to well ... Handle it, I guess.

I've also taken long breaks only to come back, play, then want to hulk smash a kitten afterwards. It's definitely a love / hate thing.

Ever since getting serious back in TTT1, Ive said tekken is full of WTF moments. Those almost always work against my favor, thanks to Murphy and his dumb law. Stupid Murphy.

RIP refers to these as "welp, that's Tekken" moments. For me, it's usually when something "crushes" a mid at the perfect time. Grr.

Sure, I wouldn't mind since she is near impossible to unlock in Tekken Revolution.

Didn't they incorporate a system where you can buy the characters?

I wouldn't mind seeing her as well, as she have only been in one Tekken game. But I think they should change her move list to not be reminiscent of Lili?

In good conscience, I can't speak out against characters that can be used to mess with the opponent using strategies that the given fighting game typically wouldn't have

#VideoGames

I'd just want her to seem more like a finished character in T7; she doesn't even have a side throw in TR

I play this game since day one and after what 2 years or something I have half of blood seals required to unlock her.

Then imagine I met a guy who unlocked her at DAY 2. I can only wonder how many gold coins he bought and wasted on playing arcade mode for bonus seals.

If she ended up in T7 I wouldn't be even surprised at this point.

Doesn't she have like... 30 moves or something? To me, Eliza was just Namco trying out projectiles in Tekken. I wouldn't mind seeing her as a real character in Tekken 7.

Good games yesterday, GrayFoxPL. We played a lot better than last time. Playing more patient really helps a lot.
Good games to Doomshine, too. Sorry I didn't have much time when I invited you.

Does anyone agree with the opinion that the game looks ugly? (character models)
Compared to it being on Unreal Engine 4, most definitely. It's a little disappointing and now the graphics is already at 80% but let's see what it ends up looking like when they add sweat, dirt and motion blur as well.

And even though I think the stages look real awesome (especially the show level), they don't look as inspired or beautiful art-wise as Tekken Tag 2 stages.
