Tekken Tag Tournament 2 |OT| Awaiting the "Final Battle"

I have a feeling this stuff will be corrected before the final product is released. If they can fix Anna's face in TTT2, then I believe they will do the same thing with T7 characters. They still have a lot of old CG art from Tekken Tag, and I know they're not finished with everything just yet. Maybe some of the costumes are just place holders until they finish designs of the new costumes.

I'm questioning where they're getting these models these days...
I think they will still be improving that.

These things that I (and others) noticed from the trailer.

No facial movement while laughing. Bryan's lips/mouth are stuck in a static position and it comes off looking VERY awkward.

Nice whitening job there joe. Errr, I mean Bryan.

Even more hair clipping

I can totally see that chick doing AOP in RL.

Someone was looking at her face? Err... yeah. I was totally doing that.

Good eye suupabuu. It is rather sad how the status quo has fallen. They want to excuse themselves by saying it is so expensive to make triple A games these days. Yet, I know of several in the modding community who would fix such oopsies in a matter of minutes. I of course epicly fail at 3d modeling, but not without trying. I have messed around quite a bit with the Xiaoyu 3d models I have. I look forward to a possible Tekken 7 PC release to see modders show Namco how it's done. They have already schooled Capcom, Decapre is a clear rip off the modders.

I'm the one who posted the images. ;_;

Didn't they incorporate a system where you can buy the characters?

I wouldn't mind seeing her as well, as she have only been in one Tekken game. But I think they should change her move list to not be reminiscent of Lili?

Actually you can purchase characters in TR, but I don't think you can purchase Eliza unfortunately. Then again, I haven't played TR in so long, I can't remember. Pretty sure I never seen her in the DLC store though unless they added her recently.

I consider hair, ear, mouth, armpits, etc. as part of the character model. I don't know in what universe those things are not.

I just mention that because I think that's the 20% of the missing graphics that Harada was referring to. I believe his team will come through and correct these small issues..

So, are people done with this game? I'm only able to play with AAK, and that's like once a week at this point. I'm always down to play, but people are playing other shit and doing other shit.

My connection issues are making it hard for me to enjoy the game. The last time you invited me, it didn't even let me enter the lobby.

I unlocked Hwoarang in Tekken Revolution yesterday. Got to Pugilist against a Paul player by doing nothing but uf+3+4,4. Got 2 Perfects against him. That game is a joke.

Even though hair clipping is becoming more and more obvious across the years as graphics improve... I'm willing to forgive it. I can imagine how hard it must be get an accurate collision detection prototype running for multiple flexible materials like hair. It would be amazing to see but you'd need a team of brilliant engineers to accomplish it I bet. I can't expect just everyone to be that talented.

But what I'm not willing to forgive is the incessant clipping that plagues the ugly customization accessories in the game!

Do you have ninth pixel on your friends list? I see him online occasionally.

Did your ps3 save issue get fixed sasuke?

Don't have TAG 2/PS3 anymore. On the PS4 boat now. Currently playing Guacamelee (PS4) and other games via PSTV. Futures games on the horizon for me:

2015:
Dragonball Xenoverse
STORM 4
FFXV
Star Wars: Battlefront

2016:
Street Fighter V
Kingdom Hearts 3
Tekken 7

Wonder how long Tekken 7 will be in the incubator for. I for one wouldn't mind Tekken 7 developing/evolving into a more solid title before it hits console. Tekken 7 2016 seems decent to me. After all, the eventual console releases are a "ways off".

Sorry Sayah, Neogaf needs to stop allowing people to quote such big posts.

Boutdown, I still play even though I am leaning more towards DOA these days since Tekken 7 is so far off. I am mostly like you. I rarely get invited to play, rarely see others playing TTT2 and not really in the mood for rank. There has been growing interest towards World Arena, but if a famous streamer like Aris isnt there it's a ghost town.

Anyways, I am open to friend requests. Just tell me in the friend request message that you are Tekken and/or Neogaf or something and I'll surely accept.

PSN - NinthPixel
Stream - http://www.twitch.tv/fingerstofight (used to be NinthPixel, but I wanted a cool title like Level Up Your Game and Avoiding The Puddle)

GrayFoxPL, you're my hero! My savegame got accepted. I just had to download the Online Pass :)
"Ein Kommunikationsfehler ist aufgetreten"... Weeell, my connection issues still aren't gone. I'll go visit a friend tommorow and see if my router causes the problems.

Heeey happy it worked! :)

Maybe your internet provider changed some stuff or someone changed router settings.

I had problems too, but after experimenting I set mtu to automatic and left it. Not ideal but got tired of changing it for every game.

I like Virtua Fighter, but the recent "update" coming for it has pretty much completely turned me off. I see it as Sega pulling the plug on the franchise. Which really has me afraid for the future of 3d fighters. I mean sure, Tekken 7 is coming soon in the East to keep it alive. But if DOA5LR has trashy netcode like DOA5U did. 3d fighters may well go extinct in the West (we just think things are bad now). TTT2 will surely die as it stands, especially if Tekken 7 is streamed a lot on Twitch. Which a part of me hopes that the world backlashes by that fact enough to get Namco to release the console version speedily.

Ranting aside, I worry because I have never been able to stick with a 2d fighter. I may fade away if 3d fighters become a memory.

I don't see Tag2 dead any time soon. Not on consoles at least. What other 3D fighter with good netcode there is to play?(VF5FS is dead online) Lol.

I always had some minor problems (like always being kicked out of US lobbies, having to invite people twice), but the problems started getting really bad when Sony released their new firmware update. That's where I wasn't able to play anymore.
I resetted my router settings 2 weeks ago and enabled DMZ for my PS3 again, but it didn't help. Nobody else but me touches the settings. I could ask the provider if they changed anything.
But damn, so happy to have my savegame back xD

I go around my local area charging $20 to fix fellow gamer internet connections. If port forwarding or DMZ isn't working for you. I ran into a case like this and the fix was getting a Static IP from the ISP. It cost extra a month, but problems were gone.

@NinthPixel: Hmm... Tommorow, when I get the same error messages at my friend's router, I'll call my provider and see what can be done. They often don't really know how to solve more "special" issues, so I guess I'll have to suggest to set up a static IP.

DMZ? Is that safe? Doesn't that make your connection completely open to any attack?

I'm in the same boat, I can't play 2D fighters anymore unless they're incredible artwork which means I have to buy it just to support the developers: (Yattagarasu, Skullgirls, KOF).

I'm not really sure what there is to attack on a PS3 o.o

Good games Doomshine. I feel the need to clarify something. Yeah, the one we were playing with today was the same guy who once thought you were mocking him with Dr. B, but by now, he has accepted that you're a better player than him. He kind of seemed like an asshole, leaving without saying anything, but he forgot he was hosting (I was talking to him on Skype) and that we would be thrown out.
By the way, you should really try playing ranked. I would like to see you having those Orange ranks :p

The more I watch this game, the less exciting it is. The reason is, I keep associating the game with TTT2 because of the costumes, it takes me out of wanting to watch the game and pay attention.

I can understand that. Another reason can be the camera. If you had HD capture footage your excitement would probably change as well, I assume. In any case I am super excited and this game needs to come out now! Please... pretty please...

I just saw SFV live gameplay. Wow. Everything is new, every animation and detail. Bunch of new gameplay systems, juggles Tekken style. I'm shocked series so conservative as Street Fighter go that far. They could just build upon SF4, take that game put a bunch of stuff on it and call it SF5. They didn't. They said FUCK THAT SHIT and did completely new game from the ground up. My God they even redid Shoryuken and made it so smooth. Did ever got updated Wind God Fist or are we still rocking 1994?

Was it all made by Sony's money? God why didn't they aproach "us"?
This is what I wanted from next Tekken, this kind of aproach, a revolution, a fresh new game. Not stacking shit on shit calling it new shit.

What is Tekken 7? A miserable little pile of secretes? No, what secrets? It's Tekken 6 where ewhf counter hit effect was put in as a new bound instead of old. Harada hanging out with Ono too much decided to inlude 2D mechanics that fit into Tekken like square wheels on a train. +unoptimized UE4. There, Tekken 7.

I have to admit I think Street Fighter V looks stunning as well. And wow am I excited about it, and nope, I haven never ever digged Street Fighter, yet I'm anticipating the next entry. It just looks new and beautiful.

Tekken needs much better graphics, needs an overhaul in animations, needs something interesting that can get new players in - not the Rage Arts that just uses known moves already, they should be unique.

It needs SOMETHING to not "look" like a Tekken 6.5. I also think it needs more new characters.

That said, I'm still excited about Tekken 7.

It's not hard at all when you don't compare your game to others constantly.

SFV looks dope though.

Edit: Who's down for some games, trying to learn Hwoarang

Alisa's rage art is a low? I know why I hate this character...

It's not a low, that is her f+3+4, 1 while her chainsaws are on which is supposed to be high hits. The really worrying part of that is that she managed to hit Kazuya before (what appears to me at least) he recovers from his super.

I think dude pressed a button but if he didn't that recovery on Kaz's rage art is ridiculous.

SFV does look stunning but a comparison with Tekken 7 is not justified. SFV has A LOT less animations to worry about in contrast to the hundreds per character for Tekken.

And it's not like SFV is running 2D sprites. They're both running 3D graphics so cost comparison for individual animations shouldn't be that different.
