BBC quoting someone who rang from the basement of the supermarket (hostage) that there are 5 people dead.
Happened with a guy that I know with a fundamentalist evangelical Christian sect. Was like a drone from that point on and had to cut relation.
People who are alone in their mind searching for a flag or family to crawl under and then waking up to some cleric's simple childlike world view is happening too often sadly.
Radical Islam seems to have perfected that additive formula for young men (17-30) where it is appealing to their sense of honor, brotherhood, longing for power and even promises an endless supply of women which they often times have trouble seeing eye to eye with in real-life.

German media reported, that the factory where the 2 brothers are hiding, could also be an airplane catering service so they would not be dependent on food/water. But this is not clarified yet. Huh?!

Reminds me that I've been in relative proximity to three bomb blasts (one by ETA, another by GRAPO and a third one being the Atocha bombings) and a whole bunch of police raids. At some point I was just like "really, again?". I guess that even as a child/teen I realized that the chances of getting hurt were pretty low.

It's not confirmed. A lady approached a BBC reporter claiming her daughter was one of the hostages being held in the supermarket and that she had managed to phone her and she said there were five people dead, understandably this information should be taken with a pinch of salt.
Old, Ministry of Interior denied the AFP report. No information yet if the BBC report of 5 people dead is true or not.

But the point is, what happens with ones that are on the verge of becoming terrorists. Bullets dont reach them, bullets actually fuel and justify the cause to their eyes.

A 3rd men named Coulibaly (the one who shot the police women yesterday) took people hostage and is asking for the brother Kouachi to be let go by the police. They apparently know each other.
If it was IS I would say it has everything to do with it as they said they would attack those who joined the coalition and specifically mentioned the French. However the fact these guys had specific targets and not just anyone deemed French to be suggests it wasn't IS but who knows.
