I support Israel in this but I think they should deescalate it, they are going too far. Even if all this is justified images shown to the world from that place are terrible.

Is it Israels responsibility to deescalate though? Seems to me the regional Islamic "community" as they sometimes like to view themselves, could call for peace, make an apology, FORCE HAMAS leaders chilling in Qatar with hookers and blow to stand trial, offer folks in Gaza an opportunity to re-settle elsewhere, and then strip ALL MENTION of "from the river to the sea" type phrasing from ALL sanctioned organizations and devote billions to flow through Israel to rebuild a Gaza state to ensure the money isn't A. straight up siphoned off and B. isn't used to build missile silos and tunnel systems to strike Israel.

And oh yeah, RETURN OF ALL HOSTAGES AND PROSECUTION OF KIDNAPPERS.

Not too much to ask, really, for peace.
 
To be fair, the majority of Islam/middle eastern people are good people. No different than you and I just trying to get through life.

But let's face it. Once they go bat shit crazy being hard nut religious or hating Jewish folks etc... they go all out. Same region of people who do hostage taking, suicide bombings, hijackings, IED roadside bombs, twin towers, etc... You dont see this kind of shit from other religions or people.

It's like something that just takes over their soul to go out with a bang (no pun intended). Here I am trying to make money to retire asap doing stock trades reading news articles and trying to pick winners. While these Islam nuts are reading up on bomb vests and where the nearest church is to shoot up.

Well yeah, they just apologized for bombing Qatar after bombing like five or six other Middle Eastern countries

That whole region is more like a bunch of bullies that like to torment a dog that had a very short leash. They throw rocks at it and run in to poke it, every day, every night, only eeeeevery now and then the dog gets a bite in before they can run away and the bullies, being bullies with no sense of accountability, scream and cry to the high heavens as if they didn't do nothing.

Then one day the leash breaks............

Israel blame Iran for being behind the October 7 attacks, even with approval from Russia on some level. But evidence is a bit more confused. As although Iran supplied weapons to Hamas which were used in the attack, and Hamas seemed to expect military support from Iran to capitalize on their terror, larger scale direct support from Iran didn't seem to materialize. Certainly though supporters of Hamas like Iran, North Korea, and Syria, were all firm friends of Russia, although Syrian regime fell last year, the other two are still very close with Russia.

You forget the involvement of Hezbollah, which has very strong ties to the Iranian regime, not to mention the Houthis in Yemen, also backed by the Iranian regime.

Ugh. Some of our cities here in the States seem to be lost. I would like to see them all deported, and I do not care what people think of me for saying that. I believe in peace and people getting along. Those folks want nothing to do with that.
 
This makes me feel sick. I had family members within a few hundred yards of this when it happened.

Any cunt that has uttered "from the river to the sea", I hope they understand that this is what it means, this times a million. Are they ok with that? Do they sleep soundly after a busy day stomping through the city centre streets chanting it over and over?

You can't fault the police response here, from callout to shooting him dead was roughly 7 minutes, the UK police will always try and take the perp alive and only resort to lethal when it can't be done, in this case taking him out before he pressed the trigger.

I know there's a rule against politics here, but it's hard to avoid saying nothing when politics isn't a sideline issue with people's lives.

This kind of thing is growing, not shrinking. It'll be bigger, not smaller if things progress the way they have.



This guy is the co-leader of the Green party who will be hosting the Green party conference in two days time.

I can and I will, and no they don't always try and take the perp alive. The guidance for dealing with apparent suicide bomber threats used to be to switch their brain off with bullets immediately, to give them no opportunity to detonate.

This changed after they used it on someone totally innocent one time (which was obviously not a factor in play here), but based on how much opportunity they allowed him to detonate a bomb in this instance, I would say the guidance has gone much too far in the cautious direction. They took a risk this time and got lucky; next time they might not.

Hadn't seen that. Didn't realise we were already at the doing it publically stage. But yeah no politics even if most the of UK's issues from a lack of intergration, mass immigration, kid abuse and censorship all come from a single party.

The majority of Islam/middle eastern people would also prefer sharia law. They would impose that to you right now if they had the chance/power to do so.

Doesn't matter if they are "good people" or if their intentions are good from their own perspective. Their religion is still the same destructive cancer as always and they are willing to spread it everywhere.

I've seen the full video the police knew he had a bomb because they shout to the public to get back because there's a bomb. Why on earth they gave him time to potentially get up and detonate is puzzling. They then shoot him again after the public start shouting he has a bomb. Madness.

I posted in another thread last week that Jews aren't safe on the street any more, then this happens.

I don't live in New York but have close family in the city which I visit often, so I try to keep up with local affairs.

The city's next mayor (in all likelihood, as elections are in November and he's leading by a lot) has supported "globalizing the intifada", alongside many other questionable policies, and sadly the left is lapping it up.
