Haha. Love the response : They post too much nonsense.

MotleyFool has been bugging me too : I had a targeted ad for their article "3 stocks better than Tesla".
One was Nikola. This was a full 24 hours after the report with the downhill truck scandal. Not a single word listed that report or any allegations.

Needless to say MotleyFool is dead to me.

I was pretty happy with it. The future is bright for the company and I’m glad I’m aboard for the ride.

The short version : We're at the start, and I'm not alone in excitement to re-visit this video (and thread) in 5-10 years; Long play. :)

They warned against buying into Tesla right before the huge run-up too.

I currently have 571 shares after the split with no plans of selling any and continue to buy more every 6 months. If any of this projection were accurate, which it’s hard to believe, my daughter would never work a day in her life.

They should just make the electric motors louder so the car sounds like a TIE Fighter while driving fast.

The NIO EP9 prototype super car from a few years back made an awesome noise while on the track.

Pretty sick. They could have customizable software “engine sound” too.

Sandy Munro, auto engineering guru, reacted to Battery Day by saying that the ICE automotive industry is toast by 2030 and he's confused as to why Tesla stock dumped instead of going to the moon. He surmises that Wall St. doesn't understand the engineering implications of what was unveiled at all.

Elon is a fucking treasure. I honestly think the world would be in a much better place if the people 'in the spotlight' would just be somewhat real.

Agreed.

It dumped because Tesla is probably the most extreme example of a stock which follows "Buy the rumor, sell the news" more closely than any other I've seen recently. It ran up like crazy before a stock split and sold off after, it ran up before the rumored S&P 500 inclusion which didn't come to pass and sold off after, and now it ran up before Battery Day and sold off after. It actually tanked over 20% after the previous Autonomy Day, a similar type of event which occurred last year. If you really wanted to play TSLA on the market, just buy calls before any major event to ride it up and sell them the day of the event and switch to puts for the ride back down after.

These are technical market events relating to the stock price and there's nothing about any specific event which is relevant, Tesla could announce human teleportation and faster-than-light space travel at a special event and the stock would do the same thing, run up before the announcement and dump after.
