Hey, if anyone is awake, I'm doing a little test.
If anyone wants to see me beat up on the Cardinals in MVP baseball....

into your Windows Media Player.

I want to see how many I can get connected without having too much lag on the people watching.

Let me know how the stream is doing, as well as about what time you joined in.

Is the sound better now?

I forgot to change it to line-in, it was on Stereo Mix. :(

Is it working for anyone else now?

Yes the sound is perfect now.

EDIT: Now there's a lot of lag/buffering problems. There must be a lot of people on it.

It looked pretty good for the first 2 minutes, then had to keep rebuffering.

What speed connection are you on?

Note to self, 5 viewers is too many.

on Cable....just seeing what my limit would be.

Anthropic: Computer fizzed out...virtual memory or something or other....

Some of the lag may have been due to me checking this thread to make sure it was actually connecting, the rest was having 4-5 people connected at once.

Matlock: After the stream died...Rolen hit a solo shot...3-2 Cardinals :(

I'm gonna restart my computer, and try it again, as well as get a new IP. (I think anyway)

Be back in about 5...and I'll get Docpan and Anthropic to test the connection by themselves (I'll send you guys PMs)

Anyway...thanks for the testing :p

I'm getting lots of rebuffering. Here are some suggestions:

1) Reduce your sound input. It's waaaaay overmodulated.

2) Use a lower bitrate. Sure, it will look worse but it will let more people connect. I suggest trying 80Kbps. You can also reduce your framesize to 240x160 and FPS to 10 and it should compensate for the lower bitrate.

trying again...I think I changed some of the options...but I'm not sure that you can...

here goes nothing. I want to see how many I can get on my connection, but my ultimate goal is possibly streaming off of a T1 connection.

Looks like all you did was reduce the resolution. If you want more people to be able to connect you must lower your bitrate. It's currently 256Kbps and 30FPS. That's a lot.

Alright guys...thanks.

Well, I found that more than likely I can only stream to 1 person at a time on this computer, which was about what I expected.

One of these days, I may try it on a T1 and see how well that would work. You guys don't need to know what I'm doing...but if it works, I'll let you guys know.
