An ugly, down-tempo game is significantly closer to the concept of "basketball" than the dog and pony show that is the NBA.

Brad Stevens needs some magic here, because Butler looks about ready to get blown out.

TAKE ANOTHER THREE!

6-22 from 3-point range. Bestball.

But honestly, you see them trying to take it inside. They don't have anybody talented enough with post moves or slashing ability to get points down low.

I think Butler created penetration a minute ago. Admittedly, they couldn't get a shot off and so retreated to back to half court before setting up another three, but it's a start.

Damn you Gordon Hayward....DAMN YOU!

Would have gone top 3 in this draft as well, but I'm glad he declared when he did, he's a good NBA player.

Right, every time they go inside it ends (hilariously) badly.

The college game has some strengths, 20% shooting (as a team) isn't one of them.

Dude just missed both fts ffs.

Then you wouldn't be saying the dumb things you're saying.
What, like "the NBA game sucks and barely resembles the game of basketball"? That's not dumb, it's true.

Anyway, this game is only any good if Butler can get it turned around. Right now they're playing completely outclassed.

So much for making all your open shots LOL.

If every shot you are taking is contested, that is BAD basketball. No matter how good the defense is, if you can't break that defense down, figure it out and get yourself good looks, THAT IS BAD BASKETBALL.

I didn't know the game was supposed to resemble people not hitting any shots. Fake Bill Walton was right!

This game is a throwback to the days of Dr. James A. Naismith in that Butler/UConn is setting this great game of basketball back 100+ years.

In the world I live in, it's possible for one team to outclass the other.
