Did Azarenka make dance after match?

This one's from US Open
Bgchg.gif

That's not funny. That dance is a gang initiation dance for the Belarusian gang "the red knives" doesn't she have any respect for the families of the people who have died in Belarusian gang voiolence!!

Commentators before were saying that Roland Garros would be able to seed him as #1 if they wanted and they probably should because if he's lower than 4th, he could end up playing somebody like Roger Federer in the 3rd round or something, which would be an outrage.

And the #1 seeding would be fair cause he wins every Roland Garros he participates in lol. And he won almost every tournament leading up to Roland Garros that was on clay, so he's gonna lose alotta points if hes not back around that time.

Lol, Fed's QF streak would finally be over. Also, when will they show the replay of Fed/Murray? I'm not going to stay up for it.

How is he an underdog? He's always had the measure of murray in previous slams and is in fine form.

According to Vegas he's an underdog. Murray is a -150 favorite, while Roger is +130. It's not like favorites always win though, and this is just a small favorite.

O/U is 41 games played, which can't be done in 3 sets even with 3 tiebreakers, so Vegas thinks at least a 4 set game.

And the spread is Murray by 3 games, which means Vegas thinks Murray will win but in total, he'll only have 3 more games won than Federer. This really can't happen in straight sets unless Murray wins 3 tiebreakers, so they expect Federer to win more games in some sets than Andy.

Murray also won the US Open and the Olympics and has a better h2h against Roger, so I don't feel like Roger winning is 100%. It's more like 50/50 with a slight edge to Andy and when I watch them play, it won't be like watching Djokovic v. Berdych, where you can clearly tell Berdych was overmatched. I think it'll be more competitive and it'll look even, even though Roger is an underdog.

Undeserved? The guy has won 7 out of the 8 FOs he's played lol.

I don't feel players should be rewarded for overtly skipping non-clay events. Wouldn't surprise me if he wins the French this year and then immediately claims to be injured until next February, again. ATP players are expected to play 11 months out of the year. If you only play for 4 months, then you don't deserve preferential treatment regardless of your accolades.

ESPN3 has replays available for matches very shortly after they're over. Every match of this tournament is still available on there for replay.

There is also a replay on ESPN2 @ Noon Eastern Time.

Higher seeds aren't just for the players but for the tournament too. It's not good for the tournament to give Nadal a low seed even if he's been injured for a long time, since there's still a high chance he could win he whole thing. A Federer v Nadal 3rd round is not as good for the tournament as a finals between them.

Why do they have to play this match at 3:30 AM?

I know it's Australia, but surely there is a time that's a nice compromise between when everyone's asleep and when everyone's awake.

I found that searching 'Australian open' or either of the players names in the match in google search will tell u the time of the match in your time zone.

That's actually what I did, lol. "Federer Murray Australian Open", adding in things like "time", "start time", etc. Maybe I'm just a dumbass.

Or...you could just go to the official Australian Open website, find the local Melbourne start time and convert that to your local time?

Googling can be good but surely going straight to the source is better in this case?!

It seems like it is windy which would help andy like like last year USO (SF & F), and there is 30% chance for rain, could lead to the roof getting closed (helps Fed).

Does this have anything to do with Azarenka sounding like she had an orgasm after every shot she hits, or does this have EVERYTHING to do with that?

everyone in Australia will be awake, as will all of Asia, India, Russia, Europe, and Africa.

the US can please itself. the best time for the USA would be early morning in Melboune. tell roger and andy they have to play at 6.30am to please people in the US and they'll tell you not so politely to fuck off.

legal pretty much australia wide.

many of them have websites. very nice well designed websites. google them up, not at work.

I'm also surprised by this. I thought Australia was one of the countries that recently banned hard core porn. Or maybe it was just porn featuring flat chested women because in their view a woman over 18 years of age with a flat chest is appealing to pedophiles. If I was an unfortunate flat chested woman, I would be offended by that.

That, and the fact tennis isn't exactly a sport the populous really cares about here in the US. We did back in the 1970's and 80's during the tennis boom, but participation and interest in the sport has dropped somewhat over the years.

what else in the article was the fact the womens final has not sold out.

melbourne is known for it sporting crowds, they'll turn up, in huge numbers, to watch cockroach racing.

for them not to sell out this is a major vote of disillusionment with womens tennis.

"Tickets for the Australian Open have been on sale for almost four months. Yet, as of Thursday afternoon, the women's final was not sold out.

Perhaps that was because the $294.90 adult tickets did not come with complimentary earplugs. An oversight given the Decibelles, Maria Sharapova and Victoria Azarenka, had proven last year that if rock'n'roll ain't noise pollution, women's tennis often is. Why pay for a sensory experience you can get for nothing standing outside an open brothel window?

Or maybe the brevity of some women's finals had persuaded would-be ticket buyers the event did not stack up on a dollar-for-play basis. Even a child's ticket for the women's final was $279.90; an argument for contraception the Vatican could not refute."

.

the big thing in Australia for banning is sexual violence. GTA3 would not have been given even an X rating here with the rape and beating of the hooker in that game. that bit of the game would have to have been out.

prostitution etc perfectly legal and regulated with employers responsible for health and safety.
street walking is about the only thing that is illegal.

this isn't the US where prostitution is seen as the ultimate sign of community decay, yet people are allowed to be armed to the teeth.

1pm in Melbourne is 9pm Eastern in the US and 6pm on the west coast, but it fucks over Europe because it's 2 and 3am there :p Let them suffer and let the Americans have their primetime tennis :D

As a college student, I really don't have a problem with a 3:30am final. My first class tomorrow isn't until 1:25pm, so i'll still get like 6 hours of sleep which is fine with me. I napped earlier to be prepared anyway.

the match is timed for prime time ratings in Australia, and honestly Channel 7/Tennis Australia couldn't be less concerned with the US or anywhere else.

Roger has been on at night here because he is a ratings winner. Djoker the same. Murray, no one gives a fuck so he plays whenever they can fit him in, hopefully of the worst available court.

hm.. would you have any examples? for research purposes of course....

can't wait! It's 910am here, which is perfect time for tennis! Unfortunately, I will only be able to catch the first set or so, but I can't wait! Memories of Wimbledon 2012 rushing right now

Man, this is such a tricky match-up. Heard its windy out there too, so I guess that'll favor Murray a bit, though I think Federer is in pretty good shape... I think its a toss up at this point.

Heh, Brad calling it for Murray cuz of the wind.

How come some times semifinals in grand slams are the 1v4 and 2v3 seeds and other times it's 1v3 and 2v4 seeds?

The only sure thing is that the top 2 seeds are on opposite sides of the draw. Then 3 & 4 are randomly placed on either side. Then 5 & 6. Then 7 & 8. And so forth (all the way to 32)
