A few cases of having multiple sequels occupy a single slot, but IMO it's a pretty solid list.

What does GAF think? Anything that was missed?

Edit: Added the list for those who don't want to read the whole article.

2. Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair (2003, 2004)
1. Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)

Pretty cool lists between this and the one filmstage posted

That one went heavier on mann, this one more focused on asian action films

Both number ones have me conflicted which I'd put over the other

Sonic handles my blue balls
3. Universal Soldier: Regeneration (2009)/Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning (2012)

Is this a trick? Like when a student writes in the middle of school essay "if you're reading this, draw a cat on the cover"? Can anyone who has seen them confirm - I thought it was just straight to video on demand trash.

#30: Fighting

...okay, I'm not filled with a lot of fuckin' confidence here.

3. Universal Soldier: Regeneration (2009)/Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning (2012)

What the fuck.

This list is trying to take the diaper from Film Stage right now, isn't it.

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
Overall I'd say the list is pretty fucking lame. It includes a lot of trash in the top 30 and leaves out a lot of brilliant movies. I mean why the fuck is Channing Tatum's Fighting in the list over The Good, the Bad, and the Weird? That movie is better than probably 15, maybe 20 films on that list by a huge margin.

I wish I liked Mad Max as much as other people. Great looking visually but mostly a slog. No problem with Kill Bill being second, now that's quality entertainment.

Undisputed 3 getting the respect it deserves. Boyka remains the most complete fighter in the world.

Still can't really relate to the undying love for Fury Road but I'm glad The Raid is listed. Kinda crazy that Raid 2 isn't though. There's a lot of stuff on there that I haven't seen; gonna have to keep this list on hand for future movie nights.

Bad pick of Kim Jee Woon and even worse pick for the token Korean film.

Edit: Still love ya Vern, but Man From Nowhere never gets any love in these lists ;___;

Nah, those movies are both amazing.

It's not that bad of a list, I would have put some others in there, but damn, why would you start and waste a number with "Fighting" of all movies to put on there? lol

Grizzlyjin

Supersonic, idiotic, disconnecting, not respecting, who would really ever wanna go and top that
The Protector did have some good ass fights.

i've been begging for over 5 years.

Same here. I've watched it 3 times to try to 'get it' but I guess it's just one of those movies that doesn't resonate with me. It's beautifully shot for sure but that's about as far as my admiration for it goes.

Eh. The lack of John Wick 2 and The Raid 2 sticks out bigly thanks to the inclusion of some rather questionable choices here.

Don't know about Regeneration, but Day of Reckoning is another "Scott Adkins beating the shit out of people in well done action scenes with flimsy story connecting said scenes" movie.

Exhibit A: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GE1M3mS77W4

That said, its placement along with others, such as Fast and Furious 6 over Fast 5, are suspect.

It's the great action movie of all time. What is there not to get?

Do you watch action movies?

Several movies on the list are just straight up bad and especially bad for a list about best action movies. I Saw the Devil is a great movie but its not anywhere near what I'd call an action movie despite having a few intense sequences and some fights. Fighting is trash. I don't think either of the Matrix sequels deserve to be on that list. I don't even think Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon should be on there beautiful and dreamlike as it was, something like Jet Li's Hero would have been a better choice. Fucking Blood and Bone in the top ten? What the fuck?

Where is The Good, the Bad and the Weird? Where is the Man From Nowhere? Where is the Raid 2? Where is Edge of Tomorrow? Where is Kung Fu Hustle? So many duds made this list when some incredible action flicks did not. Even some out of the norm picks like Hot Fuzz are absent over a shitty Universal Soldier sequel.

Fury Road at no. 1 is correct. Furious 6 over Furious is dumb, as is John Wick over John Wick 2, which had much better action sequences.

Thank you for mentioning man from nowhere. It deserves all the love it receives. It's better than anything Channing Tatum poops out.

I think 13 Assassians, The Man From Nowhere, and Tai Chi Zero should be on there.

Also is Kung Fu Hustle not considered action?

Edit: oh missed 13 Assassians. Good.

Edit 2: Would also like to add Man With the Iron Fists. Really fun mindless action film with great music.

15 great action movies and 15 picked out of a hat.

This is one of the worst action film lists I've seen in a while.

Where the fuck is Die Hard, Hard Boiled (or even A Better Tomorrow/Better Tomorrow 2, The Killer) or Dredd ? Where the fuck is Jackie Chan or Sammo Hung ? Where the fuck is Jim Cameron ?

Fuck outta here
