Hopefully after Penn's "cycle" (that is he was nominated last year and had to be at this one to present) he won't bring his bad attitude back to the show anymore. Penn's always annoyed me no matter how well he overacts.

Eternal Sunshine was great, but I think Hotel Rwanda was a far better story...

It sucks, cuz Rwanda is going to get dicked and I think it was the most important movie of the past few years.

I assume Rock made a joke about "Who is Jude Law"; I didn't see it. Penn can't understand the human ability to interpret humor so he says that Jude Law is a very hard working actor. Rock shoots back " My accountant would like to have a word with you" meaning Rock has a shitload of cash money from being a successful comedian over the years.

The "accountants" are a reference to a gag earlier in the show, featuring two huge bodyguards of Rock's.

um...i thought it had to go with his other joke...his 2 accountants being the 2 big ass debo looking guys.

Probably, I missed most of the show. It took me a second to figure out Rock's comment and I just assumed it was because he was rich doing comedy.

It was a joke in the opening. He brought up the idea that they (hollywood) made like 7 police academy movies but no one wanted to make a passion of the christ. So Rock said that Jude Law can get into the club (or whatever, referring to hollywood) but Mel Gibson and Jesus Christ can't.

Apparently this was taken by Penn to be a slight against Jude Law (even though he was only used as an example)

Man they have all sorts of audio trouble this show. All kinds of clanging and slamming and now I just heard some guy say "..and if it breaks.." just before Rock spoke.

Wow, one of the best Oscar speeches ever. He was predicted to win, and everyone thought he should, but there's still that tense moment where you think there may be a major upset. But he deserved it definetly. So damn modest. I was clapping when he finished. Wow.

Now here's hoping he doesn't got the Cuba Gooding or even Halle Berry route and start taking any shitty role that offers a big fat paycheck. The last thing we need is Cooler Runnings or Undercover Brother 2 starring Academy Award Winner Jamie Foxx.
