The bazaar is coming to steam. Why you shouldnt play it
The Bazaar is coming to steam. Here is why you shouldn't play it.
The Tempo team and specifically their boss reynad are scummy as hell.
I have never seen that many lies, 180's, censorship from a single company.
The game was supposed to be free 2 play. Now they're changing that.
The game was supposed to be a crypto game, they said that over and over again in early development. Then everyone hated NFT's and they started pretending that their crypto idea was just some vague idea that was never really something they seriously thought about. When reynad literally said they wouldnt release on console/steam because they didnt allow it.
The game was promised to not have pay 2 win, then when expansions came you could pay to get them before other people.
The marketplace was still supposed to come just without the crypto, a lot of people farmed chests to get the early cosmetics to trade later. Marketplace is no longer comming and the chests are no longer season specific. Everything just became worthless.
Game was not coming to steam they said because steam takes a 30% cut. They said it could still come later to be fair. But they wouldnt just bring it without some gaslighting. Eventually some time agoe they started saying that oh well our launcher was ALWAYS just gonna be a temporary thing (complete lie). I called it right there that it was coming to steam and of course now they announced it.
Those are just a few examples.
Then there is the censorship.
I doubt there is a discord server and subreddit with a higher % of permanent bans than their discord and subreddit. And there are no warnings. You're immediatelly permanently banned, not for insulting them or anything. Just by stating some facts in some cases. They will be vague in their wording and then when you clarify the ACTUAL facts you get permabanned. I was just banned from the subreddit because someone said in the steam announcement thread that cool, now they can get it on the steamdeck and play it everywhere. I just replied that yeah but it will cost you 45$ even if you already have an account with all the heroes. This is a fact, they said it themselves in the discord. But god forbid someone else says it.
I got banned from the discord too for saying they should give steam keys to early backers because i'm just being punished for supporting them by being forced to continue to play in their atrocious launcher.
Go on their subreddit and find a negative thread about the news. It doesnt exist, they delete everything. They opened a mega thread for the steam release, but some of the deleted threads werent even really about the steam release. Regardless, they know megathreads dont have the same visibility so even then it's a way to try and silence negativity. And btw if you check on that mega thread regularly, you'll see that half the comments are being deletes.
Oh and btw did i mention that they have always done this and a while ago people were pissed about them being in control of the subreddit. What did they do? They made an announcement saying they would be giving the subreddit to the community. Did they do it? No, a while later they deleted the announcement and stayed in control.
Not to mention that reynad is a religious fanatic talking about jesus second coming, believes some crazy alien conspiracy theories and doesnt believe that we were to space because quote 'i dont know anyone who went to space and neither do you'. I guess by his logic plenty of countries are a conspiracy theory too because i dont know anyone that went there.
