There are a few things I dug from the presentation, so the Switch isn't a complete bust for me so far:
Super Mario Odyssey
SMT V
Xenoblade 2
No More Heroes 3
Project Octopath Traveler
Fire Emblem Warriors
Ultra Street Fighter 2

Still, this is a 100% "wait for the holidays" system. The Switch isn't exciting enough on it's own, and I already have other stuff coming up on PS4, Xbone and Steam.

I think Mario looked ugly in some places. Hopefully, the extra time will help. I liked the city, did not like the humans, it's jarring, liked the water level, did not like the fog level. I had flashbacks to fog being used to hide the lack of draw distance. But then i see Zelda and just assume I'm misreading it.

Vita comparisons don't cut it. This is the successor to the Wii-U and it's expandable only by an additional 256GB (current largest microSD I could find)

Looking into Street Fighter and yeah, it basically is HD Remix with an option to switch :)P) to classic sprites.

Also, playable Evil Ryu and Violent Ken! That's...nice, I guess.

I am. My kids will love it. But there is 100k people on this board. Plenty on both sides. I'm still looking at this as a handheld with extra features. Otherwise, those graphics don't hold up. Some of the Splatoon vids and the gameplay for arms will look good on a small screen (unless it was just Nintendo's poor capture).

They still need to do more to entice people. More game announcements and they need to do better with free downloads. I'm not excited about NES games. Maybe it's 30 bucks for the year and i don't trip. But I'm not doing confident looking at those controller prices.

Since it doesn't look like amazon is going to be opening it's preorders soon, I'll just grab one from the gamestop near my house. I'm mostly picking it up cause I really want that Zelda and any droughts can be filled with my backlog of PS4 games.

I completely understand anyone who would just rather wait until Mario and other games come out first to grab one.

Exactly. And I hear ya! It's certainly not geared towards me, but as I told The Pillow Strangler, I'd likely (eventually) grab one for my daughter. Just a Sonic/Mario Olympic game would make her happy. Also means I'd check it out..again, eventually.

I also barely had my PS4..not ready to dive into another system..

I honestly couldn't tell if he announced anything specific because the damn translator was awful during his segment.

I wonder if Nintendo has a plans for a handheld sku. One with just the switch, the charging cable and the joy cons. It might sell.

i honestly would not be surprised if it's only battling that requires the sub. Kind of like how you can play Destiny without subbing on PSN/XBL, it's only required for PvP and matchmade PvE

especially with wireless local being a base feature
