Jet Li has never kissed a woman in his movies, so theres that. Probably a cultural thing, or his own values. Jackie Chan on the other hand has kissed women, but then again he's also done porn.

I don't know, but he admitted to doing porn more than 30 years ago. I cannot be bothered to look it up, no interest in that lol.

I could have lived without knowing this. -_-

the Jet Li game on ps2 Rise to Honor was....different, can't say I didn't enjoy it though. It was strange fighting not with the buttongs, but using the right analog stick. It was mad intuitive though, because basically you'd be brawling with people from 8 different angles and you'd just press the stick in that way to attack in that direction. Fighting people from every which way definitely made me feel...like a boss.

Welcome to the thread, new guys!

Also, that Jackie Chan porn info made me lol.

I didn't play a Jackie Chan PS1 game but I have played Jackie Chan: Fists of Fury which was a fighting arcade game. It was like Mortal Kombat, live action sprites, but without fatalities. There were 3 Jackie Chans and a chinese dragon as playable characters. :lol

Edit: oh. Fists of Fire, lol.

I remember playing the hell out of Jet Li's Rise to Honor back on PS2 years ago. It was a decent game with unique controls. Anyway, WTF at Jackie Chan porn?

Where you're from
- Where you live NC, USA
- Your cultural heritage, lineage and genealogy Dad from Liberia, Mom from NY(black father from south and mixed mom with a bit of german, black, and irish in her)
- Do you know your roots? NOPE.avi My mom does though.
- Your Age 21
- Favorite musical genre
- Your profession/major/career interest Computer Networking
- Your religious affiliation Christian
- Hobbies Airsoft, anime, computers, aviation, firearms, Vidya gamez, guitar, Motorcycling(is that a hobby?)

Since we're on a gaming forum, it could be conclusive that you're more on the geeky side so let's start with a more general question:

- Do you feel ostracized as a black nerd/dork? Charles Barkley once said that "there's nothing sadder than a black nerd". What do you think about those words, and while we're on the issue, what is gaf's opinion on the whole "act white" thing?
Charles Barkley is short, so I don't care what he says. Also, he's older, so he'll die first. Then I'll go to his funeral and say "There's nothing sadder than a dead short man"
OT: I don't feel OSTRACIZED per se, more like it's harder to find like minded people. i get along easily with others though, it's one of my strong points.

Ah a fellow aviation head, you a pilot? I just finished school in Aviation management. Speaking of Aviation, I was at American Association for Airport Executives conference a month ago down in Atlanta. My first time in the city, never seen so many beautiful black women in one place.....GODDAMN. I got a grip of Liberian Friends, though they seem pretty different from most West Africans I know whether they be Nigerian, Ghanian, or what have you. Must be the American in them.

I met a couple of the Tuskegee airmen in person at a group for getting black kids into the aviation field. it was a 2 part program, one over summer; going to museums and ATC's, And Air force bases, etc.
It was a testing grounds, they culled the best prospects from that.
Then came part 2, the grueling (for a 15yr old) flight school portion where we prepped for the FAA student license test
That test was the hardest test I ever took
Then Me and a couple others passed it out of maybe 10-11 of us
I got ~8 hours logged flight time before I got scoliosis surgery, and moved later without finishing my private rating.
I've played FSX, need to reinstall it ATM
I lost my handbook that had the hours logged, but I'm not sure if they are still even eligible, also I bet my student license is expired, this was back in 05 or 06
I still love planes, wanted to join the Air Force but the scoliosis disqualified me, even after the surgery. Maybe Once I get a stable career I'll have the money to get my private rating.

That's cool I've met a couple of Tuskegee Airmen back in high school in my AFJROTC and Aviation courses and again when I was in ATL. I wish I had gotten my Private pilots license back then, but Im still gonna shoot for it maybe starting this fall. I haven't logged any hours. I've had friends who had hours and those hours were nullified by even a years worth of no flight time. I'm actually considering joining the Air Force, maybe I'll go to Officer Commission School and see if I can get a job as an airfield manager. That would transition over to the civilian world nicely seeing as I went to school for aviation mgmt . I might not join though, that is if I can get a job at an airport within the next year.

Am I the only one who now dismisses black gaffers who don't post in the BGAF thread? Like I would be reading someones post and somehow their race would come up and my first thought is, "yeah whatever his ass don't post in the BGAF thread..."

those exist? Only time I've seen a black member that I didn't recognize in this thread was on the gaming side and I just assume that people who spend a lot of time on the gaming side would probably not even notice this thread. Especially since we have non-junior members showing up randomly and introducing themselves in this thread every now and again.

Has anyone seen this documentary called Stubborn as a Mule!. Its about the reparations debate. I'm watching it right now and it's pretty interesting.

Is it on Netflix? I've been in need of a good documentary for awhile now.

Do you guys think Dave Chappelle would be able to make a hit show again? There was that report awhile back that he may be coming back. I saw he did a bit of stand up last year I believe and he's still pretty funny. I just wonder what kind of he'd be able to do.

What a classic episode, the Trial of Robert Kelly. God I miss Boondocks.

My friend let me borrow his copy of the show on DVD with Robert Kelly in one of the episodes. He didn't warn me about it before I played the DVD. When I told him my reaction he laughed so hard. XD

Well, it'll be difficult to achieve the God-tier status he achieved with Chappelle's Show, but I think he can still put out a funny show or standup.

I don't know, but me and my boy saw someone with an entourage that looked like him 2 months ago at the Mall of America. I didn't want to stare, but my boy was convinced it was kellz.

I actually had an argument in the barbershop last week as to who is the better standup comedian....Dave Chappelle or Martin Lawrence. I was outnumbered! I mean, is this even close?

It's probably good you didn't stare. He probably would've peed on your face

i think Dave's been consistently smart/funny for years, and tons of shit has gone down since chapelle season 2.
im dying to see him do more, standup or shows, whatever he's down for. that recent thread with the "behind the actor's studio" interview made him seem even more sincere as well, <3 dave.

I mean Martin's was never THAT funny to me once I got a certain age. He was probably the most popular black comedian in the Def Jam era, but dude always relied to much on being ultra vulgar. I always liked Chris Rock more because he was smart-funny as opposed to Martin's goofy-funny. But to me, Dave does both equally as well.
