So that brings us back to who do you trust to give fair reviews of Disney/Marvel stuff.
Yourself.

Let's hope Fett remembers he has a Jet Pack in those episodes...Didn't care for the first episode at all. Boba is another one of those characters that should have never taken off the helmet, even back in the clone wars. The lead actor just can't carry the show, he's got no charisma and the action scenes are entirely unbelievable.
I'll give it 1-2 more episodes but this is about what I expected with Disney shlock. Mando was the outlier.
Let's not kid ourselves. If you read the Jeter novels, you had to ask yourself at least a few times how badass Bossk must have been if he considered Fett to be his rival. I mean, dude was vying to head of the bounty hunter guild, wasn't he? Given how much of an asshole he was, I have to think he had some fun adventures along the way. I would actually co-sign to a series on him, assuming Book ends up building that relationship up. I can't remember if Fett offed him in the novels or not.Looking forward to ‘The Life Of Bosk’. The new eight part Disney Plus series about everyone’s third or fourth favourite Star Wars bounty hunter. All you ever wanted to know about how he got that sweet yellow jump suit and blaster gun… slowly detailed over eight hours of CGI horseshit.
….I really wish this was just a joke that would never happen, but Disney will literally milk every fucking thing in the Star Wars universe eventually, to part fools from their money.
The first episode was weak and dull but ffs it wasn't THAT bad. They're talking about it like it's Matrix Resurrections.Got those from Cosmic Book News actually.
'The Book of Boba Fett' premiere is an abysmal failure on every level
SFGATE columnist Drew Magary thought 'The Book of Boba Fett' was worse than polio.www.sfgate.com
Being worse than polio is hyperbole obviously.
f you read the Jeter novels
Deadline: "The Book of Boba Fett" premiere viewership 13% higher than "Hawkeye"
When it came to the Wednesday through Sunday viewership of Disney+/Lucasfilm's The Book of Boba Fett, 1.7 million U.S. households tuned in to learn more about the mysterious bounty hunter's origins in the first episode, "Stranger in a Strange Land." That episode dropped on Wednesday, Dec. 29.
The audience for Book of Boba Fett, measured by Samba TV across 46M TV devices with a panel of 3 million Smart TV households who watched at last five minutes, was 13% higher than the 5-day premiere of Disney+/Marvel's Hawkeye, which was watched by 1.5M HHs from Nov. 24-28.
Loki was the first prominent Disney+/Marvel series to drop on a Wednesday. That series still ranks as the highest 5-day premiere for a Disney+ series per Samba TV which clocked 2.5M U.S. households; Book of Boba Fett Ep. 1 pacing 32% behind it.
This reminds me of when everyone kept complaining about how bad Mandalorian was based on its first few episodes.
I remember when people wrote off the whole show as going nowhere before baby yoda/Grogu was even revealed!
I'll probably keep watching this cause I'm bored but the dude that plays Fett, he just has zero charisma.
So odd that they are comparing it to Hawkeye instead of S2 of Mandalorian. My guess is that it did a bit worse than S2 (or S1) of Mando so framing it as "better than hawkeye" is the best praise they can level at it since it seems quite a bit down from the high of Loki.‘The Book Of Boba Fett’ Premiere Viewership 13% Higher Than ‘Hawkeye’
'The Book of Boba Fett' was watched by 1.7M U.S. households in its first 5-days, 13% higher than Disney+'s 'Hawkeye'deadline.com
Episode 2 was fire. Some of the best storytelling I've seen in Star Wars. If the next 5 episodes are the same level of quality, we're in for a massive treat.
Second episode in and that DMCA’d 4chan leak is starting to pan out.The Wookiee looked badass. Cool comic character.
It's pretty much exactly what I expected and wanted from this show. It's at least as good as The Mandalorian so far for me.It wasn't terrible like the premiere.......but, it was bad. We'll see how it ends up I guess, but I don't share your confidence after what I've seen so far.
Best part:
Extract money from consumers with the memberberries.Does this series have a point?
I really wonder if they got Emilia Clarke back to play her character if that's the case given that the leak is all about Qui'Ra from solo leading the Crimson Dawn syndicate.Second episode in and that DMCA’d 4chan leak is starting to pan out.
I also wasn't a fan of the first episode. Not only did I find the story uninteresting and the action oddly anemic for a Robert Rodriguez vehicle, but it committed the cardinal sin of any pilot trying to get off the ground: it was boring.
I feel myself struggling to even find the energy to watch episode 2.
Does this series have a point?
My take was that he's indirectly asking if this series adds anything meaningful to the SW universe(character development, lore, world/universe building) or if it's a soulless cash grab. What does that question even mean?
Whats the point of anything?
Whats the point of any TV show?
Shouldn't we be outside farming and forging rather than sitting watching TV?

Depends on the execution.Fair enough.
Does the backstory of how Boba Fett escaped the sarlac pit, the introduction of Jabba's cousins, seeing Black Krrsantan live action enough to justify character development, lore, universe building?
She’s in a Marvel show filming right now. Not hard to believe she went from this directly to that.I really wonder if they got Emilia Clarke back to play her character if that's the case given that the leak is all about Qui'Ra from solo leading the Crimson Dawn syndicate.
I mean it makes sense plotwise since the Crimson Dawn is still a powerful syndicate after return of the jedi.
I hated the first episode but found the second episode much more enjoyable. Still not as good as Mandalorian but I'm a bit more invested in the dual storyline. Both the present and the past.
The assassins in the present don't seem to be as straight forward as expected so a nice mystery going on there. And I'm enjoying his relationship with the sandpeople in the past.
*EDIT*
Steph Green is the director for the second episode so maybe she's a better fit for this.
Fenec still feels like a none existent character. Reconsidering buying her Black Series figure.
Chewblacka was awesome, hopefully he will do something later on.The Wookiee looked badass. Cool comic character.
Stormtroopers cant hit a crowd of people in a tunnel with a widespread shotgun blaster.
The trainfuckers went 200mph on a train and shot a blaster across the entire desert and nailing what, 20 sandpeople behind dunes with no issues and that was just the beginning of the stupidity.
Sadly.Which aren't canon. Those are basically just licensed fan fiction.
Well they are. They aren’t canon. The shows are already set in the Heir to the Empire time (5 years after ROTJ) and Thrawn was sucked into a portal by a giant space squid nearly 10 years ago. Next time we’d see him is in Ahsoka most likely.Next we'll see somebody call the Zahn books "basically just licensed fan fiction" lmao
I am staying away from this show for reasons like this. I grew up with an image of Tosche station in my head and a version of Boba Fett's origin/adventures that I guess I just never wanted to see.We did get to go to Tosche Station in this episode and the couple at the station were Characters that were cut from A New Hope. that was fun.
I liked the episode, and so did my kids. I don't think they are great, but I do think they are fun.
Can we not post the masked Nazi in this thread?
There are a ton of videos on YouTube that lay out the evidence that he’s also Kommandant.
Hope it's more than that pic.

Watch the second video.Nothing but circumstantial evidence in that video. Doesn't remotely qualify as proof.
The strongest evidence was the YT join dates? I'm sure even you have higher standards than that.
