Haven't watched any episodes of The Boys and know little about it other than a few clips and comments. Music pumping, Sesame Street, and Clancy Brown cinched a watch of this.

Yellowjackets is suspense thriller horror with scenes in the first season of the past that led to the present. While it's non YA and has moments of what you describe it doesn't sound like it would show enough of what you're looking for in the way you're looking for.

Agreed the backstory and the history or how Vought did everything is getting really sloppy.

Anyone know how it compares to the graphic novels?

I forget what service has Yellowjackets but I might check it out. Well written adult drama is always welcome, it doesn't have to be salacious to interest me, just don't write like I'm a teen girl.

But The Boys, yeah that's salacious!
