FYI I have color blindness issues and I see white gold, mom doesn't have any color blind issues since she read that polka dot test with numbers insides the circles all fine, she sees blue black, and says white gold is impossible

See, that's fine. That's how its supposed to be and if you can tell it's a blue and black dress there's no problem.
The reason there's a huge debate is because people think that in real life the dress would be white and gold. It's not because people are claiming that the trimming is #000000 in that image. If it was then there wouldn't be half the argument that there is. Pretty sure most of the tumblr posts of it ask what colour the dress is. The OP just kind of bungled the wording of the point of contention.

Ive seen 2 different dresses. They don't look at all the same.

I have seen a white and gold dress clear as day. And a black and blue dress CLEAR AS DAY. But they are somehow the same picture.

To those saying its not an illusion the only way you can say that is you haven't seen both versions. Anyone who has will agree with me.

Yep, same here! On tram is was clearly white and gold, but then I got home and under indoor lighting it's so blue and black that I cannot fathom how I saw it as white and gold.

yep this is how i initially saw it (maybe the grey was a tad more on the light blue side). thought the B&B people were crazy. then my eyes made the switch and I can't see it any other way
