I tried every monitor adjustment I can (with this monitor anyway) and end up on blue with various shades of black/brown/copper. I guess I'll just have to settle for being on Team Objectively True
This thing is all over my fucking timeline; it's gold/white you degenerates.
So my mother shouting with all of her might saying its white.. this is crazy, I really can't see any white from this.
First picture is OP, someone changed the contrast ever so slight with the second photo to make the blue more apparent to the blind.
I see black and blue. WTF is wrong with me?

Seriously though this is so weird.
I just don't get the "white" thing.
If it was my job to hire a Photoshop artist and they couldn't immediately tell that the dress in that picture was blue, then they would be turned away immediately. If they could tell that the white balance was off in that picture, and that what looks like brown/gold should actually be rendered as shades of dark grey, then they'd remain in contention. If they also gave a remark about how ugly that dress is, then they'd be hired.
WTF? At first I saw white & gold, next thing I know it turned black & blue... MY EYES DECEIVED ME
And you missed the point if you think I'm talking about color blindness (though it can factor in). You're really missing the point. I have no color blindness at all, and I haven't 'seen' it as really black and blue either. The problem is purely of perception, not of sense.
See this, A and B are the same color, but you can't actually see that without assistance:
Perception can be just as fixed, it just matters if you can find that pathway in your brain to be able to switch it or not. Color blindness really has nothing to do with it.
I can accept some people seeing blue (I mean, it is "blue" but I believe that's because of the shadow) but how does anyone see black here?

Yep, gold
Yes, stop trolling with your white/black nonsense this minute.
None of this is a surprise if you know anything about colour science.

People's gamma settings are probably messed up too on top of RGB. Thus resulting in blacker browns and darker blues.Just curious, does this make any difference?:

And?That's condescending as shit - perceptual scientists are discussing this picture now.
Seriously? You see the left side as gold? Is it gold and black? Or just straight up gold; the light areas is light glinting off and the dark areas not reflecting light? And because you see that as gold, you also see the fabric to the right as white and gold?
maybe just giving a remark on how ugly the dress looks like is enough to hire them
Just curious, does this make any difference?:

I see blue and gold.....wtf?
yeah.. this. i see it white and gold. funny..
I've never seen it like blue and black after a day of different contexts, different devices, different lighting...I've only seen white and gold so far. No one's tricks have worked for me yetHELP ME SEE BLACK AND BROWN GAF!
scroll down on the first page to the blue dress, stare at it for a few seconds and scroll back up
The white/gold people are just trolling.
That's because it is white and gold and anyone saying it's anything else is trolling. I have to say this is the most elaborate and wide-spread trolling I have ever seen. But no matter what you do with your screen settings or room lightning or anything else, a white pixel in a picture will not turn blue or a gold pixel black.I've never seen it like blue and black after a day of different contexts, different devices, different lighting...
White and gold all day...
