Weird story, so a couple of weeks ago we were shooting our 2nd year piece in the Uni studio (I'm at Film School in London),a comedy about people who make shit cowboy films. We watched the rushes back and there was a boom shadow all over a kinda crucial shot. We all had to kiss some major ass to use our contingency day as when we said we werent going to need it they had 'hired the Studio to an outside production'. The word was that it was some crappy supermarket commericial. But in the end we got it.

I went in yesterday to check on the edit and it turns out the 'outside production' was 'The Dark Knight', and we held the whole thing up for a day.

*EXCLUSIVE TO GAF*

From what i've heard it's a scene in a TV studio, where the Joker phones in with some kind of threat/ransom deal, It features Anthony Michael Hall of Weird Science/Breakfast Club/Edward Scissorhands fame as the presenter.

Nice!

And WB has another website up

"In 'The Dark Knight,' Batman raises the stakes in his war on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organizations that plague the city streets. The partnership proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind known to the terrified citizens of Gotham as The Joker."

**** YEAH

Holy shit, straight from The Long Halloween...the last line needs to be Batman saying "I believe in Harvey Dent" as they show him finally become the Two-Face we'll know in the third installment.

So awesome.

Why were people putting spoiler tags around what actor plays which character in the movie? Does knowing who's in it really spoil anything?

Because every little detail of a production is a spoiler now. In fact, we shouldn't even know that it's called "The Dark Knight"...the movie is completely ruined now.

Apparently the Two-Face origin takes place much earlier.

The rumor is that
The Joker will be the one to toss the acid on his face.

Well, I meant something like we see Two-Face standing by himself at the very end. I'm pretty confident he'll turn into Two-Face near the end of the second act or beginning of the third.–but I want there to be a really awesome, dramatic ending where Two-Face is by himself, maybe looking at himself in a mirror. That line is uttered, and then he pulls out his coin and flips it once. Cue to credits.

I think the coin flip is going to be a part of Harvey Dent's character to begin with.

It will just take on a whole new meaning when he becomes Two-Face.

They should use it conservatively though. A coin flip every time he's on screen is way too gimmicky–it worked in The Animated Series, but in the movie it needs to be something he does at casual moments. And then at the end he decides what it's true purpose is for when he uses it.

Omg I need this movie

Long the foe of every costumed crazy to roam the streets of Gotham City, Batman is no stranger to long odds. But the Caped Crusader is about to come face to face with his biggest Gamble yet, rapper David Banner revealed exclusively to MTV News.

The "Black Snake Moan" actor has auditioned for the role of Gamble in "The Dark Knight," director Christopher Nolan's follow-up to the worldwide smash "Batman Begins," Banner eagerly divulged. And he's calling on his fans to help him win the part.

"I just tried out ... to be a villain in 'Batman,' " Banner enthused. "Y'all pray for me out there in MTV land."

"If I get this part, I'm gonna smack Batman in the face." — David Banner

That pretty much says it all, doesn't it?

I don't think they're going to pull him in to the role just because he's a celebrity...they've picked their actors fairly well so far.

actually, i could see ray liotta as joker.

but heath will surely do a great job, i'm getting a good vibe from him and the rest of the cast. it's all good.

Close but not correct. There are three parts to the ending,

Batmans: "I believe in Gotham"

Gordons: "I believe in Batman" (iirc, it might be Barbara instead of Batman.. im not 100%)

And [BIG SPOILERS FOR THE LONG HALLOWEEN!!]
Dents wife: "I believe in Harvey Dent" after we find out she was the serial killer, Holiday

If Nolan takes the Long Halloween approach, which would be AWESOME, i dont expect to see Two-Face at all in this movie. You would have to have Dent to focus on Holiday to have the Long Halloween Two-face origin story.

MTV News article said:
Banner expects to know if he's been cast in the film within the next two weeks. If he is, he would join returning actors Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman, and new additions Ledger, Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Eric Roberts.
WTF, when did this happen? Who's he supposed to be?

I think it works like

you submit an email address with code

code gives you x and y coordinate

fill that out on the site and that pixel goes away, revealing a new picture.

GOGOGOOGOGOGOGOOGOGOO

I wonder what it is? Surely they wouldnt unveil the Joker in such a low-key manner that 95% of people will never see.
