Shaky cam? I'm interested, please elaborate.

shaky cam- n. The act of moving the camera around spastically during a moment of frantic action. This gives the illusion of intensity but in reality is a lazy f*****g technique which gives the audience a headache and takes them out of the film; an action sequence technique considered a step back from what we see in films like Aliens and Equilibrium. sen. Goddamn that shaky cam sucked in Batman Begins.

you obviously have piss poor taste in movies then.

Hey, wow, way too drag this from, oh, page one. I just didn't like it–I've never liked Tim Burton and the way he makes movies. I didn't particularly like his take on Batman, ESPECIALLY in Returns. I'll admit the villains were cooler in it than the original Joker–but still.

Another thing that I thought was bad was how close the camera was during some action scenes. It was way too close to see anything at times.

finally did my part.

it seems like it's Heath but with clown make-up, not actually being The Joker. i mean, he's not smiling there...

can't wait!!

Yes and
you get to see the joker from someone under his fear gas and apparently the joker looks AWESOME when seen from the fear gas perspective.

Sweet. Reminds me of the Knightfall storyline where Scarecrow and Joker prank call people while keeping the mayor captive.

You can notice what it seems to be the cuts on Joker's smile making a Chelsea grin so maybe it is the final make-up.

mmm.... thread title should change, everyone should notice this :p

Ha ha, so they apparently found the playing cards that led to the discovery of this website at Meltdown Comics & Collectables in Hollywood. I just phoned one of the owners of the store about it and he told me he thought the cards were trash :lol I told him to save me one, and to put the rest on eBay.

How about you get two, and send me one :)

Why the red lipstick?

The assumption is that they plan to show WHY Joker went with the whole red-smile thing anways. Looks like he got bloodied and just stuck with it.

I thought Batman Begins was the best since the original, and I am so completely hyped for this one. And I actually am one of the people that really supported Heath getting the Joker role.

HYPE!!! ++

Where did this image come from? I just got back from work where I watched Batman Begins again. Go figure.

Also as far as shaky cam goes I thought it was far from it. I thought the fight scenes were very close in and gave a frantic feeling it didn't move around like an episode of Cops or Miami Vice w/sex everyone up Colin Farrell and Jaime Foxx.

*splooge*

And dudes, Batman Begins didn't use "shakey cam". What it used was lots of up-close shots and quick cuts. If you wanna see what real shakey-cam is go watch The Bourne Supremacy.

I really feel sorry for the guys behind the Keysi Fighting Method, in the 2nd disc you can tell the choreography is pretty elaborated and brutal-looking, but it's almost not shown in the film, one fight was pretty blocked from sight(in the warehouse with Falcone's men). To be honest, I think Chris Nolan just wasn't all that comfortable showing too much of a guy dressed up in a ****ing batsuit. Then again maybe they didn't want to show too much violence and get slapped with an R. Or maybe it really is about making you feel like Batman's enemies. That makes sense in the warehouse scene, but not in the final fight against Ducard when they're face to face and with plenty of light. I love Batman Begins, but this bothers me some, because from the extra material you can tell the fights are actually really cool.

Anyway...yeah The Dark Knight movie of the year 2k8 fo sho.

Hold on... when is this coming out? Christmas?

I think it's Nolan wanting the audience to feel how the bad guys are feeling, as in they don't know what the **** is going on. After Bruce's training with the league of shadows, he's supposed to be a master of becoming invisible. The bad guys only catch glimpses of him, just as we the audience do. I personally think it was done right and think it's far better than seeing Batman karate guys. As Ducard/Rhaz said, it's all about deception.

Wait, how do we know it's a cut smile from that picture? Just looks like hastily applied lipstick to me.

And If you look closely at the pic I posted, you can see clearly scars and his lips.

I can see where you come from, but I still have a hard time establishing that it's the cut-smile that you're talking about. I just need a high res shot now–or have the picture finished.

If that is a cut smile, then it just looks so stupid. Then again, I wasn't satisfied with the way they made Batman's ears looks like a cat's. I just hope the story is good and that something happens to ledger so that they'll have to change actors. I can't wait!

You just blatantly wished harm on a man you don't even know. That's not quite in the realm of being "not a fan."

Who gives a shit? Fact of the matter is, Chris Nolan liked the way Ledger played the Joker in auditions–and based on EVERYTHING I know about Nolan, I know that he made the best possible choice. I trust him, he's never made one movie where I question some of his choices. I'm perfectly fine with Ledger, and I KNOW he'll play him well based on his career–he's a good actor and it's sad that people instantly look to 10 Things I Hate About You and scream foul.

And no, I don't like Katie Holmes. But honestly, she wasn't as annoying as most of you thought she was in Begins.
