Guys, respond to the email he sends you. I think the Joker will talk to you more.

People always ask me about my charming boyish smile. Jessica used to love it. She was the loneliest girl in high school, and my first big kiss...

I told him to tell me more and he responded with that.

I will. You're being extremely effing picky–complaining about Bats' voice, the Joker's smile, even Batman's ****ing ears? I'll be perfectly fine, your just being a pretty ridiculous fanboy.

Who gives a shit? Fact of the matter is, Chris Nolan liked the way Ledger played the Joker in auditions–and based on EVERYTHING I know about Nolan, I know that he made the best possible choice. I trust him, he's never made one movie where I question some of his choices. I'm perfectly fine with Ledger, and I KNOW he'll play him well based on his career–he's a good actor and it's sad that people instantly look to 10 Things I Hate About You and scream foul.

And no, I don't like Katie Holmes. But honestly, she wasn't as annoying as most of you thought she was in Begins.
Some of the same people who hate Katie Holmes would also like Eva Mendez in that role.

the way he pauses off at the end like that makes me think Joker killed Jessica as part of his "past"

Katie Holmes was infinitely more tolerable in Batman Begins than Eva Mendez has been in any film.

I'm not an avid comic reader...did they ever go this far back into Joker's past before?

Occasionally, but the deepest they ever went, from what I've picked up over the years, was in The Killing Joke, by the genius Alan Moore. It went back to before the Joker bame...well, the Joker. He had a wife and was struggling to have a career as a comedian and to provide for his wife. I haven't ever read it, but from the synopsis at Wikipedia, it sounded like he agreed to do something illegal to get a share of the money that he needed, and the Batman caught on and chased him. During this, he fell into the chemicals and got the look, then he found out his wife was killed and got the insanity. Something along the lines of that.

I don't believe this is at all related, though.

You're one of the only ones I've heard say that. Still, haven't ever read it. Don't really like the Miller line of Batman stuff, so maybe I'll like TKJ.

If they stick to continuity of "Begins" however, the joker existed before batman could have "created" him.

The Joker, despite being one of the oldest villians, has a pretty decent clean slate for his origin story.

The Killing Joke is lame as hell and it's better to forget it exists.

the Joker could exist as a petty criminal codenamed Joker and then later be created/mutilated by Batman into the insane freak we all know and love

Well, yeah, and early reports seem to mesh with that, saying that he doesn't have his smile in the beginning and he just uses make-up and other devices. Basically the same as Batman–theatrics and emotional techniques. Eventually it'll change, though.

Two-Face could maim him. His motivation could be to give Joker a smile that would last forever.

If I were to guess, I'd say that Joker crosses Harvey Dent early in the movie. Harvey turns into Two-Face, Two-Face takes revenge on Joker, giving him his trademark smile.

Two-Face isn't an issue until the third movie. That's been confirmed several times, I believe. We might get a glimpse of him near the end but that's it. In fact, word on the street is that
it's the other way around and the Joker is the one who scars Dent.

I was just guessing. I'm trying to imagine what Joker's reasoning is behind focusing on Harvey.

Well, being the prosecuting district attorney during Joker's trial might be a good guess, but trying to make sense of the Joker's reasoning is always a wildcard. I mean, on one hand, it could be for that or for simply not laughing at one of his jokes.

:lol

I wish it was 2008 :(

Oh jesus, I just realised what I'm looking at.....freaky stuff.

The Joker's face has been sliced open and he uses hooks to keep it together!

Obviously that'll be part of his transformation. Something slices his mouth open, cheek to cheek and then he sticks hooks into his skin to keep his mouth together as it's completely sliced open....

I was just talking with a guy who's cousin plays a fireman in the film. Apparently they are filming very close to him right now:

Batman is being filmed just down the road from me as we speak, it's all very hush hush at the moment, it's under the code name "rory's first kiss".
My cousin is working as a fireman on set and spoke to a few of the cast members on thursday.

he tried to record some of the batmobile whizzing about on his phone but apperently the security is just too tight to get away with it, what he does have though is a shedule of all the shooting locations and times, it's currently being filmed in an old hanger, but they are doing some shooting in london next week so it's pretty likely they will have peeps taking pictures there.

Much clearer image now, it seems that Joker's pale skin is just make-up and not a produtc of him falling to a toxic vat. Nice take on the character very akin to the whole "realistic" look to the Begins series.

Actually, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get rid of the image most people have of the batarang by doing that.
From what I read it's not a Bat-rang that does it,
it's him falling from a zip line cut by the Bat-rang.

Hm. You know, this picture doesn't look like his lips are red on my computer. This is what I got..

jokead5.jpg

It looks like he has makeup on except around the slice and his lips where it looks like normal skin tone on my pc.

To me it's more pink than red. it could be the contrast of the white make-up with his skin color, still this is one creepy Joker. Will they get a PG-13 rating with this kind of gore?

They already said it would be rated R I believe.

Nevermind. Edited. I'm almost 100% positive it's a manipulation now, after reading a bit more into it. The WormyT guy created the gif just as fanservice. Still cool though. sorry. :lol

From the pics some members of Superherohype forums made it seems that Joker will have a big Chelsea smile.

Cheshire?

Did my part (400, 223). OK, now I'm getting excited.
