I don't know about the comics, but if it's anything like the Animated Series, then Selina Kyle is supposed to be really hot. Everyone's totally into her, even Bruce Wayne totally wants her, and he's Bruce Wayne, he can fuck pretty much any chick he wants.

If I had an issue with the casting, it's that she leans more towards cute than hot.

Yeah, Selina's defining characteristic is her teasing and seduction. She actually needs to be hot.

Now, c'mon. It was good, (great as a graphic novel) but its like comparing an art house film to a summer blockbuster.. (and that's is not really reach.) Two different sets of scales/standards should be applied.

As far as universal beauty and sexiness being a requirement for a woman to come across as seductive on film (1) doesn't allow for acting to come into play and (2) is ridiculous because, I strongly assert, ANY woman can be seductive.. do you not live in the same world that I do?

2/7 movies...nobody even remembers the Catwoman movie so that doesn't count. Two-Face and the Joker have both been in 2/6. I see no problem with this, even though I believe it wont be Catwoman, and just Selina.

Here's how I want it to go down.

The beginning is Batman taking on thugs and the mob, all while trying to avoid the cops. The belief that he now kills people aiding him in his fight, he's hammering the mob hard, and whoever the new boss is hires a European assassin to fly over and help out. This will lead to some nice scenes of Hardy in a classy suit enjoying champagne on a plane.

Bruce tells Alfred that he's getting fed up with the police interfering, and still depressed over his losses in TDK, he is beginning to lose faith in his mission. Eventually, while attempting to stop a burglary, Batman meets up with Catwoman. Before he can try to bring her down she gives him the whole "What gives you the right?" stuff and asks how she's any worse than the person she's stealing from. Batman lets her escape and is feeling even worse.

Finally Bane tracks down Batman, and we're setting up their first big fight. Batman is beaten and weary. He's at his weakest when Bane uses his mix of weapons and brute strength to take him down. Batman does his best to fight him off, but then all of a sudden...

I didn't think it was hilarious and neither did people in the audience. It could be written better or picturized better, sure. But I don't necessarily think morality lessons in movies are stupid or make the movie stop from becoming engaging. I have a shitton of criticism towards Spider Man 2, the least of which is morality lesson.

It wasn't the morality lesson that was lame, it was the way Batman delivered it. You can't help but lol when hearing that dude's voice tell us of the good in people's hearts.

And Spiderman 2 was intentionally campy. Maybe that's a copout answer since you can kind of blanket it's problems under that.

Sounds good. Hardy has been great in what I've seen of his work, and I love Hathaway. Great actress and very fine to boot, great choice for Catwoman.

I trust their judgement when it comes to casting.

It's the Joker all over again. I except half of GAF with Catwoman avatars and Bane outfits for Halloween after the release.

I think that Spiderman 1 AND 2 are both pretty excellent superhero flicks; 1 has the benefit of a damned good origin story and a better villain (and Kirsten Dunst was actually good in 1, as well), while 2 has the excellent storyline of Peter losing his powers (and a better performance from Tobey, I think). 1's effects are quite a bit more dated and has a few more cheesy moments overall, but both movies half enough Raimi camp in them (seriously, the "Peter's life is getting better" montage is set to Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head; he clearly wanted some comic book camp in this one) that I'm willing to forgive the minor flaws. They're two halves of a whole, I think.

Edit: Also, Watchmen is significantly worse than TDK, though both have rather massive faults.

Double Edit: More like Batman Begins and with better action sequences (not holding my breath on this one) would make a believer out of me.

Triple Edit: Ashhong, I believe the quote is from 1 as well; it's said by the people on the bridge throwing things at Goblin.
