Awesome fucking news! Bane?! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
awwwwww HELL YEA.

It'll be interesting what direction they take with Catwoman in terms of personality. Nolan and his team did a great job re-imagining The Joker (a huge change from the original Batman or the TV series). This girl is awfully cute...and I see no body build. So I wonder how they'll approach her stunts.

It's weird when dudes in this thread say Anne Hathaway isn't attractive, then they post attractive pictures of her as proof.

In fact, all of these pictures of her are attractive! What the hell is goin on here?

There is a disturbing lack of comicbook art in this thread.

Come on! Let's see everyone's favorite Bane and Catwoman artwork in order to start the costume speculation:

Hell no and no. Just pick a hot competent actress. Nothing more is needed.
No I was addressing the "tough" aspect. Some people wanted a tough actress for the role.

I think the debate has now entered the hot vs cute category

Though, in comic book artwork, I like her outfit that she had during the Hush saga (though I never read it, I saw what it looked like, and it looked pretty cool.)

I just wanna hear Hatheway say "meeeoow". I don't think anyone can do it better than how Michelle Pfeiffer did. Shit was hot.

I love how she was drawn in Hush.

I almost forgot how much Spiderman looked like a bad sentai show.

There was a scene in Spiderman 1 where Green Goblin and Spiderman are up on a rooftop talking under their masks that looks straight out of a power rangers episode.

Every time I have seen that movie it has been cringe-inducing.

Tom Hardy as Bane is pretty awesome. Great actor all he needs to do is just get his Bronson body back.

I'm not so sure about Anne Hathaway, sometimes she's hot to me, sometimes she's so-so. I think it'll work out, she's a good actress and definitely has the body for the cat suit....

I don't really know how I feel in regards to casting Hatheway as Selina Kyle, I'm not totally against it, but I can't help but think that there must have been someone else out there who'd be a better match for the part.

Its factually impossible that Pfieffer will ever be topped as Catwoman for sex appeal. Factually impossible.

Anne has the body for a sexy tight leather catsuit so no complaints there and a million times better than Butterface Mcgee.

Anne Hathaway as Catwoman?

Yeah..I could see it.

And it seems to me like the only people who think Bane is a terrible villain have never seen him outside of B&R or the animated series. He's much more than just hired muscle. It doesn't make sense to assume Nolan and his team have no idea what they're doing considering the track record.

Mind blown.

Nevermind, you were right. Thought that line was from the train scene in 2.

New Yorker on Bridge: Yeah, I got something for your ass! You mess with Spidey, you mess with New York!
New Yorker on Bridge: You mess with one of us, you mess with all of us.

We don't know what the part actually is portrayed as yet.

i was feeling a bit confused and unsure with anne hathway... hell i still am.

then i remember my feeling on who played joker in the dark knight, and look how that turned out. that movie was amazing.

He's dead.
If Bane breaks Batman's back, it gives us the perfect opportunity for a flashback.

If Michael C. Hall isn't The Riddler in Batman 3, I am not seeing it.
Perfect. I never would have thought of this, but he's the best choice by far. NPH would probably have been a good intellectual conceited Riddler too, but I'm not sure he could be chilling enough.

Scrap everything, Hollywood, and make this movie instead.

The comparison's to the Ledger casting are missing the mark altogether anyways. Neither of these roles will require the kind of transformation and performance that the Joker did.

I don't think that's a determination that could be made. We don't really know what Catwoman's character is going to be like in this movie, nor how Hathaway will approach it.

Heath Ledger wasn't the best first choice for Joker with what we knew beforehand, but we had to see what Nolan did with Joker (and what Ledger himself did with the character) to find out we were wrong.

I kinda think her face has a wide range. I can see her as a beautiful women and as a fucked up weirdo of sorts. That's perfect. It's probably harder to pull of for a pretty girl like, let's say, Kristen Bell. I'm afraid though no one will ever top the Pfeiffer in that costume.

Can someone explain in one sentence what's so cool about Bane?

As far as I'm concerned no one beats Adam Hughes rendition of catwoman/selina kyle.

You mean Audrey Hepburn with titties? Audrey Hepburn with titties is automatically the best anything.

It's like asking someone to pick a paperweight, and among the choices is a gold ingot.

I dunno, when you got stuff like

It sounds a tad bit like
No way he'll be better than Nicholson.

There are two kinds of guys in this world, those who think Anne Hathaway is hot, and complete idiots.

Anne has a meh body and a butterface. And she just looks like she'll be really awkward in the movie, I don't know why but she just kind of screams awkward to me. Like some female Cera. This is probably because I saw that princess movie with her in it once.

Catwoman from the new Batman game. I can definitely see Anne pulling off this look. But I don't think Nolan is gonna go this comic book-ey route. We'll probably see a "grittier" version.

I want to see Nolan tackle Robin too..................sigh.

Robin will never be done justice on film.

I'd love to see it too. I think you could make an interesting story about how Batman is too blinded by his own childhood to realize how fucked up it is to take in a child and train them to go up against complete psychopaths and mobsters. I think people always assume that portraying Robin on film would make Batman seem less dark, but I don't think it has to be that way.
