I wear this

in public, so I wouldn't have a problem with a Batman shirt.

Oh, Guzim......

:_(

I have this hoodie and wear it all the time. I always feel like such a badass when I'm in public with the hood up

I heartily recommend it, it's my favorite piece of clothing that I own by far

I also have this shirt that I regularly wear under my Batman hoodie (though I look far less douchey and have 100% less yellow-painted thumb nail)

Don't think it will happen but it would be funny if its a repeat of 2008. Iron Man came out in May and did amazing at the box office and some people said TDK wouldn't do better, that Iron Man just was a more fun film compared to what TDK looked like, but then TDK stomped it.

I honestly thought TDKR would be taking home the OW record. But it doesn't look like it. Especially with the lack of 3D showings for the film.
I really hope it does well. It already has me more hyped than TDK.
Although, they really dropped the ball on this one by not attaching this new trailer to the Avengers OW in foreign territories, instead we got the previous lack luster one, which led to no reactions from the audience at all.
This film has got its work cut out for it. It would be nothing short of a miracle if it did surpass Avengers. And from anecdotal evidence, people just don't seem to be hyped for this at all. Which is sad. But I got what I wanted already, a (what looks like) a great sequel to Batman Begins.
Though at this point, I doubt it will even do as well as TDK.

I just want WB to release this damn film already. It's 2 months too far away. I want it now.

I doubt anyone that actually watched TDK opening weekend for whatever reason wouldn't go to ses this opening weekend.
Yeah, I think Nolan's Batman franchise grew considerably with the release of TDK. Almost every single person I know in the real world has seen it, and not a single one disliked it. Plus, TDK has a beautiful cliff-hangerish ending. Not to mention the popularity of Inception, and Nolan's ever increasing reputation as one of the best film makers of our generation. There is nothing to indicate that this won't be a huge success.

While anecdotal, I can't think of a single person I've talked to outside of the Internet who is not going to see TDKR. Hell, I don't even know of a GAFfer who has mentioned not wanting to watch it. And, me being me, Batman tends to come up in interpersonal interactions on a much more frequent basis than the average human so I'm not referring to just a couple good friends who share my nerdy tendencies. This movie has mass appeal, and once word gets out that it makes grown men cry then... golly, the sky's the limit

TDKR does not have a chance because of Bane
I don't care how excited Batman nerds are for Nolan's interpretation
Bane is a shitty villain and will not resonate with the casual viewer.
TDKR will do less at the box office than TDK

Catwoman is really well known though.
SUPER SPOILER!!!!!!
Talia not so much either

Could you be any more inflammatory?

Besides, I think you over-emphasize the power of the villain in drawing audiences.

And whether Bane sucks or not is kind of up for debate, depending on the quality of the movie.

While its true that Bane doesn't have the iconic appeal of the Joker, the Batman franchise has been revived to the point that its going to do great no matter what. And yes a lot of people might be less hyped to see Bane, but I would imagine all the people who watched and enjoyed TDK to go see this as well. So at the very least it will do just as well. And hopefully if Bane is done well and the movie great, the word of mouth will carry it for the rest of the summer like TDK did.

BTW wasn't scarecrow considered a shitty villain or a lower level villain? Remember the complains from everyone when he was announced as the villain? Ras Al Ghul? Yeah Nolan can take the unknown or less known and make them work so I wouldn't bet against Bane becoming popular after the movie.

Real pics plz.

I think it's kind of neat how they actually had the forethought to have the 'keaton' batman suit in that video clip instead of the 'kilmer' batman suit.. shows that it was in the past, and that they acknowledge the suit change...

It always bugged me that Batman was in court, full costume.

I think that's the same suit kilmer wears for most of the movie until the finale when he changes into the black and silver getup.

You're giving them too much credit.

I dunno, I'm pretty damn sure Bane won't be as interesting as Joker on screen. But this isn't a competition. I'm more interested in Batman's arc in this film more than anything else this time. Wanna see him do some training montage shit and RISE

dear god no...
It's a quality hoodie, my good sir. Nothing wrong with wearing apparel that reps your favorite character! I am well aware of just how over the top nerdy it is, but since I'm so aware of it I'm able to poke fun at myself and thus not be the socially awkward misfit who wears super hero shirts because he genuinely thinks it makes him look cool. It's just funny. Also, I go to a college where people give zero shits about what you wear. This isn't high school!

Real pics plz.
Nevah. But rest assured it looks glorious when a pasty ginger is all decked out in Batman clothes

So can you explain the ending?
The ending of Nolan's saga ? I already did ! The TDKR will end with a whimper, fail expectations, and be looked upon throughout history as an inferior sequel to TDK.

Now hurry up and finish this Nolan so we can get a grand reboot with much more loved villains such as The Riddler and Penguin!

But the Riddler is cool, not like shark mouth up there.

Then it never happened

What did JGL mean by his line?

Why would you run? (cause of) Bane? -- talking towards Catwoman or Batman

Why would you run Bane? -- talking towards Bane and asking why he would run

The first one, at least from the way it sounds in the trailer.

I loved Gordon's final lines in Dark Knight. Bone chilling. It was SO comic book-ish, in a good way. It was reading that final bit before turning the last page over on a great comic book.

Sometimes, people deserve to have their faith rewarded.

The box office is cruel, and the only royalty in a cruel box office is OW.

Still is an awesome ending, and I remember picking up my jaw from the floor after my first watch. "Did I just see a comic book movie?" was my first thought.
