This is where we're seating, never been able to choose seats before

Oh shit, we are seating super close, just noticed what the letters mean, lol

which theater is this and why is everyone avoiding the middle

the Harrisburg one here has a 300 capacity, lady said 230 tickets had been sold since 1 pm. the online system collapsed so they have processed 230 tickets over the phone only. they expect a sellout by 5 pm

The other two smithsonian IMAX's just sold out here in DC as well both 479 seats. Unreal that it's happening this early. Deathly Hallows 2 still took some time to sell out.

here is the detail about the Harrisburg theater, its actually the biggest in Central PA but I think its one of the biggest in PA let alone US

You haven’t seen a movie until you’ve seen an IMAX movie. Central PA’s biggest screen turns any movie into a total immersion experience. The screen itself is 65 feet high and 80 feet wide. That’s a full six stories tall. The powerful 6-channel, 16,000 watt surround sound system makes every film sound as big as it looks. From under the sea to outer space, educational films to Hollywood blockbusters, 2D to state-of-the-art 3D, IMAX makes every movie experience a moment to remember.

Will this be a good experience? This is the first time I am going to a FULL movie since the Prologue

I got 3:40pm on july 20th, don't even give a fuck lol. Only imax I could get with good seats.

midnight is only ultraAVX for some reason unless I'm missing something. Anyway everything is getting bum rushed.

Wonder how the tickets are done. My reciept says both "Will Call" and mentioned picking up at the venue, but also has a ship to address spot. Would like to have them in hand.

Can't think of the last time I went to an actual IMAX theater. Not the digital fake one, but a real 15/70 film dome venue.

I can certainly feel the 200+ million OW happening

It's certainly very plausible when midnight showings are selling out already and WB starts pushing this fact to the media and BOOM it becomes a must have ticket...more than it already will be.

As far as Fandango's claim, it's nothing I wasn't expecting from some of the speculation I've already stumbled upon, but it's kind of unecessary on their part.

Yeah it will be an awesome experience! That screen is legit and an 1 hour+ of IMAX footage will look spectacular!

If it doesn't beat avengers ...

You know this choosing your own seat thing is awesome. Wish we had that here in NYC.

Since I was one of the first to buy tickets today I would have loved to have had the choice to select seats and then this way on the day off just stroll in 5 min before to my predetermined seat.

The way it is right now it almost always causes this mad rush with people possibly getting injured. It also forces people to line up hours and hours in advance.

well i blew it..In my rush to order tickets i ordered tickets to the IMAX, but the Liemax one
damn it

anyone have any idea how bad it is compared to traditional IMAX?? If its that bad I'll just bite the bullet and order for the proper one

even though we have reserved seating in canada I still show up at least 40 minutes to an hour early. I hate squeezing through people and getting into the whole excuse me excuse me excuse me thing.

But yeah it's a life saver. I remember when TDK came out, we didn't have it, had to show up like 4-5 hours early for the imax showing, had to sit in line that WHOLE time.

Truly nerdy emotional roller coaster today. Our friend came to us defeated, unable to get midnight iMax (one of the 15/70 locations!) tickets. It just sold out too fast online.

By chance, my job today took me close to the theatre itself. I said, what the hell, I'll check it out. By chance, from moment to moment looking at the screen there with the cashier, some seats were becoming available, since some people must have been canceling or changing their orders online. Boom, six seats suddenly opened up in the front row (not the farthest front, but the ones sort of at ground level when you walk into the theatre).

I'm so happy. I mean, it's gonna suck being a little close, but at least they're dead center an we get extra leg room. And it's midnight. Yes. I live for that shit. The theatre is going to be so electric.

Then I bought centre seats mid-back for an 11pm showing for Friday night lol. Gonna be a wild 27 hours. lol. Just like the first day of the Avengers. I love losing myself in the hype and the insanity for a couple days.

Good luck to everyone looking for tickets. Midnight screenings are special, awesome, and never come again. Recommended experiences for all.

Every theater should have assigned seating, at least for opening weekend. I want to buy tickets for my IMAX but I have no idea how early I should be there. At least it switched back to 70m film.

Waiting in line for hours is half the fun! iPad, board games, books, nerd talk, that's what opening weekends are all about.

No thank you. Haha. I'm fine with ticket prices even going up a little if it means I get half my day back. Strolling in at 11:45 FTW (because I agree, a little bit of extra time beforehand to soak in the hyped atmosphere is indeed good stuff)
