LOTS of behind the scenes shots

obama?

I'm gonna need all those in HiRes, on my desk by tomorrow morning.

Did Nolan lose weight as filming progressed? Or just layers of clothing?

Any other requests, sir? :P
I just got the regular 2-disc version from NCSX on Friday, but this steelbook version may be too sexy to pass up. Double-dipping on TDK is alright though. Totally worth it in my opinion. My friends and family already think I'm insane for paying $50 to get the blu-ray 2 weeks early :lol

To me, just being able to watch TDK on Thanksgiving is well worth it, not to mention coming from a reliable vendor

Who was the dumbfuck that didn't at least fade out the top right a bit where the text was (for the Best Picture poster)?

I don't see any problems with it. Maybe if it was as large as the first one, it would look better.

Showed TDK to my parents and, of course, they loved it :) I thought it was pretty funny when they got into a debate about whether or not Two-Face was dead and when I told them the script says Harvey Dent is dead, they agreed that Two-Face is for sure still alive and will be in the next one. Then I brought up the Riddler and my mom actually knew who he was :S I doubt they fully understood the film though.

I want Heath to win Best Actor, personally, but I'll take Best Supporting Actor as long as he fucking gets it. I'd actually give it Best Picture of what I've seen so far this year (which has not included any of the 'Oscar material', to be fair).

Whats that device Nolan is carrying around his neck?

EDIT:

That's bullshit...

Everybody knows he's the main character of that movie. :D

hey i was wondering, is the suit suppose to have a voice changer in it or is bruce suppose to just be gritifying his voice?

it sounds like Bale is just putting on a badass dude voice IRL but im wondering what it's suppose to be in the movie

Random fact I just saw toward.

I didn't know that HArvey Dent was originally named Harvey Kent.. guess didn't want people to think related to Superman.

Heath is far more likely to win the Oscar posthumously as Supporting Actor.

A win is a win as long as he gets something, I don't really care what category.

It's Bale's pornstar voice. It began in the first movie and was exaggerated ridiculously in TDK. I couldn't even understand some of the things Bats was saying in this one.

It's probably just supposed to be Bruce using a grittier voice. There's nothing covering his mouth, so it couldn't be a voice modifier.

And I don't think we're supposed to take this aspect of the movie so seriously. :D

the gritty voice isnt too bad but a voice changer would sound cooler, and i dont think it'd have to cover his mouth, it could be placed by his voice box in the suit.

Given how The Dark Knight improved upon BB's negative qualities so superbly (not being able to turn your head), you can pretty much guarantee that he's gonna have a voice modifier in the 3rd one since it's only thing anyone seems to bitch about when it comes to TDK:lol

It's Bale's badass voice.

I'd assume the point is to make it harder for people to know who he is.

I mean... Bale has a certain mouth movement that pretty much gives him away, but the people of Gotham don't know that.

Totally agreed. As it has been mentioned, though, I would be more than happy if he were to receive, say, Best Supporting Actor. As long as he is recognized for have done such an ineffably wonderful job, then I will be satisfied.

It will all be worth it if only to hear how much they ham it up pre-voice change like they did with the suits bulk in TDK.

Seriously. Chills.
Pretty much summed up about 60% of the reasons why this movie is so incredible (that's totally a compliment. Even TDK's own advertising couldn't chalk up that much without going into spoilers). The way it was cut really helped emphasized the incredible cinematography.

Ending was the best,

"You think I want to escape from this?"
*cue Batman and Joker, "escaping"*

Yup. And the raw emotion of the film. At it's heart, Dark Knight is really a tragedy. The movie tore me up, and it hasn't left my mind since the last viewing. Dent's story really hit me.

So true. So true.

i keep trying to wrap my my mind around how this is connected to Batman Begins. I love BB, really, honest to god, one of my top 3 all time favorites. But TDK...it's just on another level. A level I didn't know existed. It's really hard to imagine they're in the same universe. Watching them back to back just will feel so odd. BB is such a personal story, told from a direct POV. The Dark Knight is simply...larger than life. Larger than life. Everything about it. They just feel so different, yet they're in the same universe. The 3rd film is gonna have to tie them together in some way. I'd love to hear more about Bruce's father, he was a cool dude.

I'm about to ramble, so, in summation: I saw bot h these films opening weekends in theaters and came away thinking two distinct things. Batman Begins is everything I wanted in a film. The Dark Knight is everything I never knew I wanted in a film. Simply put.

An unofficial campaign to help secure it a nomination. They have a pretty decent promo video with it too.
Holy fuck, that was amazing.

Kinda off topic, but for my last paper in my literature class, the Professor asked us to compare Lord of the Flies' themes of civility versus savagery to another work (film, song, etc). I'm kinda thinking of comparing it to The Dark Knight. You guys think it could work?

Yes, actually. I think there are a number of interesting civility / savage themes in the Dark Knight

I want to buy a Blu-Ray player just for this movie. I have to convince my parents to go next-gen... I definitely don't have the $$$

I saw the movie multiple times in theatres, and nerded out over it in this thread many times during July/August. But now that I think about it, Ive barely thought about the film since. Perhaps the film doesnt have staying power, at least with me personally.
