I just got the regular 2-disc version from NCSX on Friday, but this steelbook version may be too sexy to pass up. Double-dipping on TDK is alright though. Totally worth it in my opinion. My friends and family already think I'm insane for paying $50 to get the blu-ray 2 weeks early :lolshagg_187 said:Yes sir!!

If Heath doesn't win this, something is seriously fucked up.

That's bullshit...
Everybody knows he's the main character of that movie. :D

it sounds like Bale is just putting on a badass dude voice IRL but im wondering what it's suppose to be in the movie

the gritty voice isnt too bad but a voice changer would sound cooler, and i dont think it'd have to cover his mouth, it could be placed by his voice box in the suit.Jack Scofield said:It's probably just supposed to be Bruce using a grittier voice. There's nothing covering his mouth, so it couldn't be a voice modifier.
And I don't think we're supposed to take this aspect of the movie so seriously.![]()

Snowman Prophet of Doom said:I want Heath to win Best Actor, personally, but I'll take Best Supporting Actor as long as he fucking gets it. I'd actually give it Best Picture of what I've seen so far this year (which has not included any of the 'Oscar material', to be fair).
SpeedingUptoStop said:Given how The Dark Knight improved upon BB's negative qualities so superbly (not being able to turn your head), you can pretty much guarantee that he's gonna have a voice modifier in the 3rd one since it's only thing anyone seems to bitch about when it comes to TDK:lol
That's exactly it. That and the fact he's trying to be intimidating and/or strike fear into others.Immortal_Daemon said:I'd assume the point is to make it harder for people to know who he is.
I thought that promo was incredibly edited. Definitely on the bandwagon.ezekial45 said:http://www.darkcampaign.com/
An unofficial campaign to help secure it a nomination. They have a pretty decent promo video with it too.
Seriously. Chills.SpeedingUptoStop said:I thought that promo was incredibly edited. Definitely on the bandwagon.
Pretty much summed up about 60% of the reasons why this movie is so incredible (that's totally a compliment. Even TDK's own advertising couldn't chalk up that much without going into spoilers). The way it was cut really helped emphasized the incredible cinematography.GhaleonEB said:Seriously. Chills.
Yup. And the raw emotion of the film. At it's heart, Dark Knight is really a tragedy. The movie tore me up, and it hasn't left my mind since the last viewing. Dent's story really hit me.SpeedingUptoStop said:Pretty much summed up about 60% of the reasons why this movie is so incredible (that's totally a compliment. Ending was the best,
"You think I want to escape from this?"
*cue Batman and Joker, "escaping"*

Yes, actually. I think there are a number of interesting civility / savage themes in the Dark Knightkillertofu said:Holy fuck, that was amazing.
Kinda off topic, but for my last paper in my literature class, the Professor asked us to compare Lord of the Flies' themes of civility versus savagery to another work (film, song, etc). I'm kinda thinking of comparing it to The Dark Knight. You guys think it could work?
