Timothy Olyphant definitely doesn't look old enough to pull off Roland.

Clint now is way too old for Roland.

Oh and Clint was 34 to 36 during the Dollars Trilogy. Olyphant is over 40 these days.

I know it's just the timing, but looking at the first page and seeing people disappointed that they didn't get a movie written by Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse is kinda amusing.

Casting Roland seems a bit tricky and would depend on the format of an adaption: long form TV, TV mini-series, motion picture series, etc. Roland ages quite a bit and in spurts as the books progress. I seem to recall by the end he is described as looking quite worn out and ragged.
