Well, change is relative after all. There's the change that destroys some of the coastal towns, and there's the change that destroys all of them. And so on.

Already, I know the Carteret Islands are ground zero of evacuations as a result of global warming.

I suppose the point of this would be a question. To you, what is the best case scenario?

Accepting that a 2C degree increase is inevitable by 2100, and doing our best to slow down future increases. Being honest with ourselves and devising contingency plans for the eventual climate change events in the future.

Wait, it's 2 degrees by 2100? I thought the lower limit was 4-7 degrees as of now.

Can someone explain a split electoral college vote?

Two states allow for electoral votes to be distributed if you win a particular congressional district: Maine and Nebraska. Only those two states. In Maine you can win the state (get 3) but if you win one of the congressional districts you get 1. In Kansas, if you win the state you get 3, but you can also win 2 votes from 2 different districts.

Also it's harder to split our vote in Nebraska now because the GOP gerrymandered the districts to where the two strong Democrat bases are now split into separate districts to dilute the Dem votes after Obama did it.

So, hedging against an electoral tie?

Didn't Obama win Nebraska's 2nd twice? Why wouldn't Hillary?

Bad news?

He won it in 2008, but Nebraska redrew their lines in time to make 2012 a bit too difficult.

This is confidence on the part of Team Clinton. And Omaha's media market bleeds-over into western Iowa.

Didn't Obama outright win Nebraska? Hillary is hoping for a tie?

Edit: didn't know they redrew the district lines.

He won it once, in 2008, by just 3,320 votes, lost it in 2012 by about 7% to Romney. They must think they have a chance this time, OR, that every electoral vote will count.

Obama lost it in 2012 by 7 points.

Hillary's campaign is intelligent enough to allocate resources appropriately, so they must have internal polling that shows it's worthwhile to spend some time there.

They lost it in 12 because it was redrawn, but Omaha has largely outgrown its suburbs that are within NE-02, meaning that it's good to target.

My guess is that they're going to after every electoral vote they can. What makes this notable is that besides North Carolina, this is the first place that Romney won that Hillary is campaigning in for the GE, meaning she's placing offense, not that much defense.

Does anyone know why I can't rewind the DNC Youtube stream anymore? Worked fine then chrome crashed and now it's not even giving me the option to pause the stream like before.
