I was refering to the firmware update released for the v00 japanese PSPs. I don't think they have released firmware updates for US PSPs.

I think this thread is about that pirate stuff running only on the old firmware of the jap. PSP. I could be wrong though.

Heheheh. Updating firmware is a scary thing sometimes. If the firmware fails to flash properly, you could end up with dead hardware.

what they are talking about there, which I wasn't even aware of, sounds to be just getting wipeout pure to run with a loader from the MS. It sounds like you essentially take the EXE from wipeout pure, run it through ELF2PBP, and work with it that way.. I could be wrong though. If that's the case, then yeah, it will only work through the 1.00 firmware. What I am referring to is someone else mentioning how they got the PSP to execute two machine OPs from within a Wipeout Pure ghost save file.

Im sure the exploits were on purpose. Sony knows people get a rush off of going out of their way to unlock obvious system features

People are trying to play Wipeout from a MS. The game starts loading, then shows a error screen in both 1.0 and 1.5 consoles.

It is just a matter of time till the homebrew scene blows out
