Just re-subscribed for Outer Worlds 2. 15EUR/month on PC isn't too bad. I usually cancel after I'm done playing what I wanted.
I though about doing this but the problem with this is you have to keep re-subscribing if you want to go back and play the game or get DLC.

Just makes more sense for me to wait until the game is cheap and buy it outright.

I cancelled mine when it was still pretty cheap a few years back. It was fine, but I felt that I needed to play the games quickly before they got ripped from the service and ultimately at the time, they weren't releasing many first party titles.

If it makes any difference, I would have cancelled as soon as they announced the most recent price hike as I would rather purchase the games I want to play and be able to play them when I want.

Generally, I do this with games I have little incentive to go back to. In case of TOW2, when they've added something meaningful to the game you could also go back for 15EUR which is still cheaper than Xbox studios's games usually get with a discount. Avowed, being released quite some time ago only ever received 33% off IIRC.

Then again, I'm not a DLC fan unless they add something really significant to the game and changes it quite tremendously. But usually once I'm done with a game, I'm done and don't go back to it. If you're inclined to get future DLC and return to the game repeatedly, buying it instead of renting seems the viable option.

Did ye, aye? Retards, aye? 🙄

3 months left. Won't pay full price but if you can still get a month for a tenner on CD Keys (like you can right now), I'll probably keep it going. Failing that, I'll just drop to premium and pay for that with reward points.

May be a hard concept for you to understand, but when people pay more than something is worth there is no incentive for a company to keep the price reasonable.

I cancelled mine. When they starting to eliminate all the ways you could get a discount instead of relying on the whales to pay full price, I was peace out.

Mmm, ok. Brilliant retort to a guy who has just said he will no longer pay for it at its new price.

I think the lack of comprehension is yours. Anecdotal evidence, and mocking folk as retards. Show your receipts for these people getting excited over a $210 yearly subscription.

Canceled game pass ultimate as well, big difference between $25+ a month and $25 for three months of essential, and I think Microsoft is getting in their own way, raising the price of the console and the subscription was a huge deal

I moved my wife to the lower tier, haven't cancelled mine yet because I do want to play Outer Worlds and Ninja Gaiden. And next year we'll see what they bring outside of the four tentpoles.

Willingly paying more than something is worth is retarded.

Guess I hit a nerve.

Sorry, but not sorry.

I haven't cancelled because I paid until 2027. Had multiple ultimate for a year at $90. I would cancel if I was paying current prices as I don't find value at $30 a month. I've played maybe 6 games all year on gamepass.

Mine ends in December this year after having it a couple years on the cheap. I won't be resubbing and honestly wish I hadn't bought the series S nor the 2 years of GPU. Sold the series S at a loss and the only game I ever beat on GPU was Jusant. Played a couple games here and there. I'll probably buy DooM TDA when it's peanuts along with a few others that I didn't get around to playing.

Paid monthly and cancelled it after the price hike. I purchased COD BO7 and BestBuy had 6 month of Gamepass core or old Xbox Live for $39, so that's cheaper than just having it on auto bill monthly.

Saw a bunch of retards getting excited for 12 months of game pass ultimate for $210, on another site.

That's how low people's standards are, and why companies do this shit.

Eh. If you were already paying for multiplayer gaming, the incremental cost for GamePass Ultimate with that deal is around the price of two AAA games.
I can see why quite a few people would go for that deal.

I cancelled mine in solidarity with those folks who got shafted for Ultimate. When Microsoft took a second look and made some changes I subbed back for one month for Ninja Gaiden 4. then unsubbed again.

PC Gamepass is the only one worth having, but I'm not doing recurring anymore.

I never pay for it - it'll just mean it takes longer to get the necessary rewards points so therefore I'll be subscribing less frequently than before - maybe instead of once every two months, it might be once every four months or something.

I had a launch month XSX
Did the 3 year conversion for Ultimate
Sold XSX in June 2023
My locked in Ultimate sub expired Nov 2023
The nice part about Game Pass was not having spent much in Xbox's ecosystem, so moving on from the hardware didn't matter

Had PC Ultimate under a good deal, couldn't find a similar deal, then prices went up. When it ran out, I let it go.

Not really missed, and there's no way I'm paying that much. I also did the same with PS Plus.
