The Division - 15 minutes of new gameplay

I have a gtx 970 i7 4790k 16 gigs of ram and 100 gigs of free space. I hope i can run it at 1080p 60fps on ultra! The beta can not come soon enough, btw i already preordered the gold edition! XD

Different company, different games, different technology, different engines, different online integration, different size teams... Different amount of polygons, different textures lighting effects, other players.... And a cross platform release (GTAV got another 2 years of dev for PC.

Your comparasons and expectations are your problem.

Also, its dynamic 24 player plus NPCs.

Way more goes on in a GTA multiplayer match, especially when the game has real-time damage/bullets. Regardless, the Beta will answer my question, so I'll wait until then and proceed from there.

While a playerbase is good. Its not that important i think with this game then for example a Battlefield game or something. Think where your friends are on is abit more important. if you are planing to playing alot of co-op.

Aren't Dark Zones large scale pvp (potentially) areas? It would seem that playerbase is important.

I highly doubt it. I have a 970 & i7-6700k and I am expecting 30fps at ultra. 60fps at normal settings is a far more realistic expectation.

As others have said, I am quite ok with this as it just means the engine is scalable and sets it up nicely for the future.

Whats the hype with this game? Its just uncharted combat in a nicer environment.

Looks incredibly repetitive and dull.

Yep. Do people not realize that they signed a legally binding contract and can be sued? o.O. That and the fact they fuck up things for everyone else.

NDA leaks have existed since the beginning of video games, hardware, cars.....you name it.

Please tell me what fucks things up for everyone else? Is the beta going to get magically pulled next week? Is your life ruined because of someone else doing a leak?

It's all on the poster and the poster alone. I have been seeing this "fucks things up for everyone" for nearly 12 years since I alpha tested the original guild wars......I really, really would love examples here on how it fucks things up for a poster taking liability on himself of breaking the NDA. It's a problem between him and Ubisoft. How exactly does that fuck things up for you?

Most games get hyped before release, I don't see how this is anything different. This is one the biggest AAA release so far for 2016 and the game which was a poster child for the nextgen consoles back in 2013....so of course there is going to be hype.

Best of just playing it for yourself before making a judgement call on it though

I kinda doubt an NDA is a legally binding contract. I doubt it's even a contract, it's more of an agreement (hence the A). Can't really have a legally binding contract without names of the people who are signing a contract.
Or will they sue xXxGamerxXX, 1337Snipa and ShootyMcCrouch?

NDA is an honor system, they must rely on people being nice and not saying anything, and if they do say, the most they can do is get upset and ban those people.

This game has procedural destruction as well. This game is objectively rendering an environment much more intensive than the one found in GTAV. And is using a lot more expensive effects especially at ultra settings, the volumetric smoke, the more accurate realtime SSR, the more intensive snow and particle effects reacting to wind direction and lights in the environment, and better textures and lighting as well. It's no wonder why it's expensive when maxed out.

Um, wow. Have you never seen an NDA in your life?

The contract is with a company that pays for testing. It's a legally binding contract. end of story

Not sure what to make of this game, it looks somewhat fun but a bit uninspired. What makes it stand out from the crowd from other titles, for the rest of you?

Also, worried about bullet sponge enemies. At least in Destiny, it makes more sense with enemies having shields, advanced armor and advanced alien anatomy ... but these are basic humans were up against.

VMC does not pay me for the tests that we do (at least the ones I have done) and thats the company thats doing this. But unlike the alpha or other standard company testing through pre-order where any random person could hit yes with no info really tied, you actually have to sign up with all your info to get the privilege to test for VMC. Which is the company hes probably early testing through.

How many other multiplayer shooter driven role playing loot games exist?

Really want to go into this again. But we already did this a couple of days ago for many pages haha.

All I can say is participate in the beta next week. It's easy to get a code for X1,PS4 or PC. Give it a shot, see what you think.

Yeah, I was in that Battleborn beta or whatever. It said, click X to.agree to NDA.
I clicked X and that was it.
Legally binding? I don't think so.
I.knew they had no idea who I am, so I wrote about that crappy game any chance I could.

Because it's a game that I've always wanted, I love RPGs, I love co-op games, I love the recent/modern/early post-apocalyptic setting, and I love doing raids.
Well, maybe the execution isn't perfect but it's better than nothing.

is it possible to change the damage on PC? Some of the enemies take too many hits to down.
It's comments like this that make me wish they removed the Tom Clancy name from the title and treat it as a new IP because it got old real fast how quickly people forget this is an RPG with 3rd Person Shooter Mechanics and complain about enemies taking too many bullets to kill.

I didn't see people make this complain about Borderlands or Destiny so the only reason I can think off that this game DID get that critism is either because the Game's Setting and Tom Clancy name messed up the perception people have for this game or it's currently a "cool" thing to dislike and criticize Ubisoft published games.

You have a fundamental misunderstanding of the term "contract."

I've been payed for every single hour of testing I have done for VMC :S.

Lucky!!!!!! I got some other incentives.....but not physically paid lol. Most of the tests I've done were 3 hours and you usually got the game instead of the miniscule cash payout.

for all of the projects I've been a part of it's been cash, except for one which was both cash and the game at launch. guess I'm lucky with the projects I get called in for

*shakes fist* I haven't been able to do one in awhile though due to my work schedule.....seen a few things that I wish I could do :(

The NDA's I have signed have always had my name and the name of the company. Actually one of the clauses is if they find you gave a false identity and they find out, you risk jail time (local laws are applicable).

Outside of gaming NDA's, I actually worked in pharmaceutical development and always had to sign a NDA, one of my colleagues was sued for 20 millions euros as estabilished in his agreement because he took his work laptop to his house on the weekend without our boss consent (fortunately, the computer logs saved his ass on court) So yes, I would say it's a legally binding contract.

Is the beta thread still planned? Have the feeling this "15 min of gameplay" tnread became more then that haha

usually threads like this serve as an unofficial OT or whatever until the real thing comes out...saves the board from being filled with a different post every time a new video, promotion, etc comes out

basically every new thing about the game has just been posted in here since it went up

Did you actually read the NDA? Because you realize that if you were caught breaking it, say recording it with your username on screen you'd be subject to legal consequences. Quite astounding that you believe otherwise.
